I really wouldn't recommend doing that too often. Launching like that will only eat your transmission and spit it out in little bits after a while. I have had wheel spin in my car in 3rd gear before, but admittedly it was a wet road and I had the loud pedal down to the bulkhead. I know it was slipping because the car was skewing sideways at the time and I had to get off the gas to regain control!!

Won't be able to attend this one, I'm afraid, because I'm going to the O2 to see Madness, then its an early start the next day to get to Tdi. Enjoy yourselves

Damn good spot considering you were behind me as I pulled in Nice to meet you and have a brief chat. Didn't do any timing on scene, but had an onboard camera and a mate filming from around the track. Best lap on the footage was 1m00.6s Really wanted to beat that minute..... No mechanical issues for any of the scoobies present (an silver 06 new age, silver new age wagon and a white RA400), but a Pug 306 Rallye ended up on its roof on the exit to Paddock. Whoops! Martin

Does anybody know a good place who'll refurb wheels? My gold ones are looking decidedly shabby now and the time has come for them to be done up. Got some other wheels on temporarily which don't look too bad, I don't think, but I do much prefer gold wheels. Many thanks Martin

You need to upload them to something like photobucket, then when adding a message, click on the "Insert Image" button just below the Fonts box. Then insert the URL of the image and it's done Martin
