  1. Definitely growing on me!!! Do like it in white
  2. http://www.proshine.co.uk/
  3. Another great job by Iain. He came all the way over to Ayrshire to do my car last year. Car looked great. Got rid of fine scratches. Great value for money. I'll be booking him again soon for my quarterly valet!
  4. Hi, If you've got the pics downloaded onto a file on your PC, you should just have to click on the Browse button below and from there you can find the file and double click on the picture you want. Then UPLOAD it and that should be that.....if I remember without doing it right now!! Good luck!
  5. Cheers mate. I guess I just went along the lines of 'fit it all'!!! As I'm only 1 mile from Greers, I'll pop over and see what Bill has to say and he can always take it off til I see what it's like.
  6. I guess it's natural to be suspicious. If people are going to view the car, it's always an idea to have them see it away from your house in a public place. If you haven't passed any personal details on, they won't know where you live. Was there not a thread last year where a forum member sold his car only for the guy to recontact him saying it was a total dog with bad bodywork etc and he was coming up to the house to get his money back??
  7. Congratulations to everyone else as well!!!! Will we get all the new babies along for the summer bbq run?! We're now home and I'm delighted that Abi didn't mind the drive home in the Scooby!!! Phew!!!! Due to the stiffer suspension etc, wifey was a bit worried about her getting jiggled about a bit in the car seat but she didn't mind the exhaust etc. That's my girl!!!
  8. I have all of the above fitted on my wagon and it is certainly a lot better for it although if it's a bit wet I can still put the back end out. I was thinking it was down to the Pirelli's though? Still too much tread left before I can go to Eagle or Toyo's. With regards to the above quote, I was wondering if I'd notice a difference if I took the front ARB off? A few times I've felt the front end 'slide' but maybe it has been skipping. Also, although it has all these mods...when I'm going at say...90...(very occasionally and only in dire emergencies of course!!! ) the car does feel like it moves about a bit. Doesn't feel as planted as I thought it would/should?! Any ideas? Wondered if it was just the suspension being stiff and I'm feeling all the bumps?
  9. Hi folks, There seems to have been a few baby announcements on the forum in recent months so thought I'd join in. My wife, Jo, gave birth to our first child, Abigail, this afternoon. Came in at 6lb 4oz so she's only wee. I now know what everyone says about it being life changing and you can't imagine you can feel so much for someone else etc. Couldn't believe it was actually our baby and we weren't handing it back to someone I'm nearly 35, been in the army..foot patrols in N.Ireland and I'm now in the cops dealing with some grim stuff.....but.....this is probably the scariest thing ever for me!!!! Been awake since 8.30am yesterday morning so a bit knackered. Probably going on adrenaline. Not nice leaving wife and child at Crosshouse but they're both doing great. So, say hello if you please....
  10. Nice new car! You'll always come back though!!! C'mon the wagons!!!! You can always accompany me on the runs and be the photographer again!
  11. Hey mate, Good to have you back with us. Glad the person responsible was found guilty etc. Sorry to hear you were lifted. Blame the Fiscal...not us. We do check on the national computer and if it tells us there's a warrant....that's it....it would be a neglect of duty not to act. Usually it can be sorted out at the office though. As for being handcuffed...unfortunately you're either 'high risk' or 'unknown risk'. Pretty much standard procudures. Don't feel bad or like a major criminal about it. Hope to see you about more often now
  12. Hello and welcome
  13. Don't give up hope!! My experience from the club is that I had been on the forums for a few months last year, hadn't made it to any monthly meets and the first club thing I went along to was the McRae rally where we met in Glasgow then again at AWD. That was my first time meeting people but after introducing yourself.....that was that. Had a great day out and have since made it to meetings and know some of the regulars. Been to meetings where there are first timers and can see how it might be hard to get into a wee group that are talking but we all love the cars so have a common theme to talk about!
  14. Hello and welcome
  15. Congratulations. Anytime in the next 3 weeks for me too!
  16. Got my new quote through from Keith Michaels. £450 for my WRX wagon with mods declared. 34yrs old with 9yrs NCB
  17. Quality. Took me ages to read most of that!!
  18. First night shift for me too. Double time isn't bad though!
  19. I also park far away from the entrance to avoid this kind of thing. If I'm close to someone, when I open the door I have my hand over the edge so that would make contact first. Unfortunately some folk will just push their door open until it stops!! On a similar note to car related unfriendly behaviour....I remember seeing a car programme where you saw CCTV footage of a girl waiting to get into a space in a multi story car park when this guy just drove in to it. After a wee argument, the guy walked off. The girl drove off only to return and let all his tyres down!!! Justice for you! What goes around comes around! The Renault driver will be cursing when Eurosti catches up with him. Not that I condone that sort of behaviour!!!!
  20. C'mon the wagons!!! That looks 'abroad' somewhere!!
  21. Congratulations. It'll be the same for me at the end of April!!
  22. Nice Are you really looking at 700bhp??
  23. Alan....does your car have a carbon bonnet by any chance? There was a Scooby getting a full respray before going down south for an engine fit. I'm sure Jim mentioned something like 700bhp???
  24. Is that after you were allowed to book online or over the phone? Bummer. I've already phoned to make sure I was in because I think other companies overbook on purpose and you turn up to be told you have to go to their next nearest place!! I was told that they aren't like that!!
  25. That's a coincidence! I was about to post the exact same thing. To my embarrassment after 14 years of driving, I recently reversed into another car for the first time!!! Had a search on the forums and read a post from Subarstar who recommended JB Coachworks as he is picky with his cars. Like Alan, I went to have a chat first and was very impressed. Jim is a really good guy. Showed me where they mix it and how he wouldn't have any problem matching my Crystal Grey. He said he also uses paint that is the Rolls Royce of paints. Got it back a couple of days later and I was very happy. £235 inc VAT. I have no idea if this is good but I was happy enough. I now might go and make my bonnet stone chip free for £150 inc VAT
