  1. Hi, Whereabouts are you? I bought my car from S&S and they've been ok but I stopped using them once my warranty ran out. I believe the dealers may be more expensive. I now use Greersport in Glengarnock. Cheaper and really close to my house. There's Kenny Brown in Hillington and also Hypertech in Bonnybridge which would be worth the travel.
  2. Oops!!! Sorry. Had that figure from memory (bad one! ). There you go then, £150.....made your day!!!
  3. C'mon the wagons!!!! Looks great. I put the STI TMIC on the WRX so got the STI8 scoop (biggest one) and undertray to compliment. I'm a fan of the big scoop though. That was for a MY05 blob. Think you could probably get yours from DR Motorsport. £300 sprayed IIRC.
  4. On my blobeye WRX I got the Whiteline front/rear drop links, front/rear arbs and anti lift kit along with Eibach springs which I'm happy enough with. The Eibach doesn't drop it as low as I would've liked (in hindsight) but it's alright.
  5. Send someone out to buy you an xbox or ps3!!!! Get onto xbox live or whatever the PS version and you will be glad to have the time off!
  6. Hi Chris, Don't know if you'll remember but I started with the Meercat downpipe sportscat that you're getting. Kept the Prodrive back box but then got a Meercat centre section. Knew I'd need a remap if I got the up pipe so waited til I got hold of a VF34, pink injectors, STI TMIC and then got a Meercat slip joint up pipe (£90). Remap gave me 334bhp/335lbft. Oh.....that metallic noise has gone Just got new brake caliper pins and that was that.
  7. Nice pics from Rhu Marina and Duck Bay? Pity I wasn't working!!!
  8. I'm lucky I've got a garage and live away from any big towns but I can understand how you must feel especially with a few Scoobies getting pinched these days. If you worry too much though it might take away the enjoyment of owning the car. Go for the visual deterrents of steering locks etc and as said, make sure any cars aren't visible through the letterbox. And....be chuffed folk want to look at your car!!!
  9. Excuse my ignorance...but is it down to the handling of the car that made it so quick round the track and the Ring? Some of those cars have more power etc
  10. Excellent Andy!! Just beautiful Were those 7 sleeps the longest ever!!!! I'll have to extend my boundaries when I'm at work!!!
  11. Ditto for me. Have the Autosol and Meguiars. Both good.
  12. That's pretty $hit. Is it an up and over style garage door? I've got a Garage Defender that bolts into the ground on mine. No harm in handing in the helmet though. As long as it's lodged as a production it then goes to forensics but... the police don't control the forensics anymore as such, it's now the Scottish Police Services Authority so they run themselves but help out if that makes sense.
  13. My wife was always asking me when I would be taking the big one off as it was on our rear window. I thought NEVER!!!! but recently it's came off to be stored and replaced with the smaller one we were given on exiting Prodrive. Does this make me a bad person!!!!
  14. Bummer! Positive thinking and you'll be due some good luck soon!!!
  15. Hi, I think I remember reading that the newer models of WRX were 225bhp as standard and with the PPP you could add 30 or 40bhp on top of that as a rough guide??? If your old wagon had been to Andy F's then I imagine he would've unleashed more torques for your acceleration which might have been more noticeable than the new one. I think your classic wagon would be lighter as well.
  16. I'm miles away in Ayrshire. I was just curious to see if you would be coming along to the Strathclyde meet but you won't...but keep an eye open in the Events section for your local monthly meet
  17. Hi mate, I spoke to Alyn at AS Performance and got Ferodo DS2500 pads for the front for £135 and pads he called OEM+ for the rear for £40. Alyn said the Ferodo were offered 25% more friction over standard the the OEM+ offered 10% more. With braided hoses, it does the job for me but I'm not a late braker!
  18. C'mon the wagons!!! Welcome to the forum Good spec there. I've also got the Andy F dual map which is great fun. It's good that you can engage it at any speed/revs as long as the accelerator is flat to the floor. I put the big scoop on mine for looks. Have you checked to see if you have the Sti undertray to go with the Sti intercooler? If not, I don't think you'll be getting the best out of the intercooler. I got the scoop and undertray from another member but you might get one here... http://www.japperformanceparts.co.uk/ or at DR Motorsport as mentioned. Where you from?
  19. Can't help with the Sti but.... Welcome to the club If you had made it to Hillington last night there would have been a good number of cars to look at.
  20. Exactly. That was my thinking. It's only a tenner
  21. Er.....just to get the badge. And just found this.... http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtop...amp;hl=scottish
  22. Hi, I've got an 05 WRX Blobeye as well. As other people said in your original post, I followed Andy F's website for Stage 2A. Got the Walbro fuel pump. IIRC, you might just need the Samco hose from the intercooler? Someone else will correct me. I've kept my Prodrive back box but got a Meercat sports cat with wider mouth downpipe, decatted Meercat up pipe and centre section. They would make theirs fit yours....if it isn't a standard size? Got the Y piece when I replaced the TMIC with an Sti one... a bit safer I was told. I then got 550cc injectors and a VF34 turbo before getting the remap. Now I'm looking at 334bhp/335lb ft. On top of that...I also got the STi8 bonnet scoop (the big one) with undertray to get the best out of the TMIC.
  23. Yeah, if you're already a member, go to manage membership and there should be a drop down for the Scottish Scoobies. If not, a quick fault thing to Andy and he'll sort it. Just noticed you're not a member....pretty positive you have to become one first.
