Good job Bobby
A special mention to Peter for his usual Santa Cruise efforts with the raffle etc

Thanks to Toysrus for not offering us a discount or goodwill gesture. The attitude of 'we have customers who spend more than that and they don't get a discount' was really helpful. Felt like telling they guy he could shove it and we'll take our money elsewhere.
Think I'll put him on the naughty list.
Baa humbug! Did we get any discount last year?

Never used anyone else but can speak for the quality of the work at JB Coachworks.

Hello and welcome
When you say the car is 'pretty much' standard....how much is that?
The usual starting points would be the exhaust system, if you haven't got PPP?
You have (I believe!) 3 cats on the car which don't help with the breathing.
You can go down the full decat route or go for a sportscat which will help.
Others will say to upgrade your brakes or handling side of things before going for more power.
Lots of nice Whiteline goodies to be had
As for the spoilers, each to their own. Find one you like then use the search facility and see if there are
good or bad things about them.

Hello and welcome (again!)
Glasgow meet next Thursday and if it's like last month a good few Glasgow cars will be
going through to the Central meet the following week
-
I've had the resistor in place for over a year as well and it's been fine.
What I did have recently after driving in bad weather was my idle control valve playing up.
This resets after somewhere between 3 and 6 ignition restarts.

I agree i'm a new member only been to one Lanark meet but every one there was made me feel welcome and the forum has been helpful for advice
Glad we can help.
Where are you with your turbo buying?
-
Good stuff.
Nice write up and well done
-
If, like me, you can't justify spending that much on the Defis, I got 3 Prosport gauges through a groupbuy
on Scoobynet for £97.67 delivered. Even without the discount, they're only £115.
They still do the swipe on start up etc.
Pod from Scoobyworld.

Looking good.
What settings are you on? Had mine fitted a week ago. Running 16/14 at the moment.
Bobby suggested the scissors to me for my mudflaps but hate to think what a mess I'd make!!!
They'll be getting raised soon. Gets a bit annoying hearing them scrape all the time!!!

Hi,
I'm not technical at all but if it helps...probably not.....when I pop my bonnet, where the rubber mounts were, I now have the coilovers bolted on with the dampening adjustment through the hole.
Does that help!!!!
-
He's got a unit in Clydebank.
Why not pop along, if he's got it in stock just buy it and take it away. If not you could end up waiting, so then go elsewhere.
Sorry not much good if your from Somerset like Steve, but it's only 1/2 hour for Kenny.
And after reading the scoobynet posts, it says Flat4 are based out of Unit 7, North Street, Alexandria.
North Street is right across from Hill St, where the police office is.....and I'm usually based!!!
Driven past the units.....they do exist.....but can't remember seeing any obvious signs.

If I remember, my sportscat/decatted downpipe was from the turbo (snakehead) down to the centre section.
I think the original exhaust comes in 4 parts but now I've got the front, centre and backbox.
Hope you understand my technical speak
I now have 1 x 100 cell cat. No MOT problems at all.
From my own experience, I ran my sportscat for over a year before my remap with no issues at all.
Like I said, had the sportscat, then a wee while later added the centre section and it was like that until
I got the pinks/turbo/up pipe together and then had them fitted and mapped.
-
Is this something you 'have' to get?
Never heard of the maintenance either.
At least I know mine works after one of the Greers boys set my alarm off and Tracker phoned me.
-
Another vote for Meercat from me. I didn't get a remap straight away. Also got their centre section and downpipe but only got the remap when I got their up pipe.
Good quality stuff

Happy belated birthday mate (only saw this thread today!!)
-
Did you have a wee lookie at mines?
Yes mate. Looking great.
All the custom stuff looks better in 'the flesh'
-
How is the car Richie....seen your car at Greers and looks like you have other choice mods that you haven't mentioned.
Hi mate.....mmm, what have you seen then? Thought I'd posted everything up?
Like to keep everyone informed
Got the car back today. Brakes feel really good although I haven't been hard on them yet.
Coilovers set at 15 front, 12 back and feels great. Not hard at all so think I'll tighten them up a bit.
Just to get used to the feel of it going into corners. Don't know if it's the coilovers or the bump steer
kit or both but it certainly feels more planted at speed.
Need to let it settle because the guys had the car out 3 times and each time had to raise the suspension
10 or 15mm. Front mudflaps are now on the ground. I'll pop back on Monday.
Just waiting for my gauges to arrive and then
THAT'S IT....FINISHED!!!!!
