air box hose is the red hose in above pic from the maf to induction pipe, just infront of the water header tank

Just trying to see if I just get the airbox hose as it's only to dress the engine bay.

Would the induction pipe connect to the airbox hose

I'll have to pay you a visit and you can take it nice and slowly and point out bits to me in my engine bay

After having a few chats with C WRX/Colin...the best prices I seem to be able to find are with Viper for the

airbox hose for £35 and the 9 piece ancillary kit through either Zena Racing for £97 (from the US) or with

Revolution247 for £99.

Does this sound right? Tried Googling and can't seem to find anywhere else that does the 9 piece kit.

Still to give AS a phone.

Also....can someone clear up the difference between the air box hose and the induction intake pipe please?

From photos, they both appear to be in the same position but saw on one photo that the induction pipe

went to a cone filter rather than the airbox??

As Mark says, the first sound might be the turbo spooling up. If it is, that's a sound you'll grow to love

Not sure about number 2 but number 3 (hopefully not) might be a shock absorber.

Someone will come along and tell you different!

Don't know anything about the codes so don't know if one comes on for the petrol. The diagnostic check

will sort that out.

Ritchie it is 2 litre sti 2005 reg,

I saw the map today of a 2.5 litre on Andys computer and the torque readings are much better on the 2.5

So....imagine what you would get with some more mods!!

If you were to fit an sti tmic, to get the best out of it, the matching undertray would give you the correct

fit with the rubber seal etc.

Engine is built along with the heads, just ordered the sump today and still thinking about my turbo choice before its all shipped back over to me

If you go into ebay and search under 'subaru y pipe', you'll see plenty of them.

How genuine/good spec they are, I'm not sure.

I 'believe' it's to help with the greater pressures of a bigger top mount or the original pipes

are prone to cracking etc.

Usually go with when you've replaced your wrx tmic with an sti one.
