I got to admit, The music i listen to in the car dictates my driving. (Bad i know) Just say i put on Classic FM or a bit of Faithless, ill be relaxed but still in full control, doing the speed limit, cruzing and driving to a high standard. But if i pop in Narvana, The Automatics, or even Iron Maiden, i may speed up a little and take corners a little more brashly. But also this depends on who i have in the car with me, usally any passenger from family to friends i drive senceble. Iv even had my own mates complain about the grandad driving at the speed limit. But hey its my car and ill drive it how i like. []

Woody, what sort of power figure's do you think you might have? As for a Mazda 323, i wouldent give it respect if it made the N-CAP most safest car award. I hate Punto turbos, i really do, there one to two dotted about in Bristol. And i mean yeh they are quick but Do they all have to be orange, with badly flushed tailgates and the sort of exhusts that make a grannys teeth fall out. Monki.

On the same note, I was in the left hand lane to turn left into my road, and a lad and his older wrinkly mate was in the passenger seat. I looked over to see the chap talking and stairing at my front end. Lights turned amber then green, i pull away normally and sencable as i dont want my engine to pop. And all i heard from my window that was half down was. "VRroooom boom boom boom(Limiter) and Sccrrrreeeechchhhhhhhhhhh, and some sort of yelling from the passenger, because i turned left and he decided to be a pratt and wheel spin up the road. I mean yeh our cars are lovely and i like to look after it, but why do people keep thinking we should drive and race everyone. We have track days for that kinda thing, in a controlled, semi safe environment. Monki.

A new MAF from Subaru are around £86 quid. Ideal to hand over that club membership when buying. [H] I was advised to replace the MAF evey 12months buy my stealer. But also the O2 sensor to as they work together. Iv only botherd with the MAF as i got more important things to waste my money on[] Hope this helps. Monki.

I honestly would not get the hose out to wash the engine, even if im posative all the electrics are covered. There too much at risk. For cleaning i used Normal Brake cleaner, and Engine cleaner from Halfrouds, and autoglyms Metal polish. But to be honest any metal polish would do. I also used the cream colour rags you can buy from Wilkinson, and a pack of diffrent grades of metal wool. I use the wool with brake cleaner to get off the oxidis-ation on the A/c pump(or i think it is, right next to the Alternator) and pipe work. I will post some pics on the car care section if the work pc permits me to. lol Monki.

Nooooo i wasnt spraying it directly onto the eletrical parts, i was spraying the cleaner onto a cloth and going form there. I may be a bit nuttie at times but even the Monki has "Some" common sence. []

Yeh just working with the standard equipment at the moment. ALot of my pipe work had oxidised, But using brake/engine cleaner, and metal polish, the parts i was working on have came up to a very good shine. Monki.
