it doesn't really happen to me, don't know why. On the rare rare occasion it does though, I don't feel I have anything to prove to these guys and don't feel sucked in in the slightest. If the road opens out then i'm likely to speed up anyway, and if there are silly neds around at the time, then they can watch me disappear.

wow thats some picture neil I agree change your avatar to that!

Nice pics there chaps! Ye it was a great day, I didn't get to meet as many subaru owners as I wanted to - Met Neil and then got chatting to the porsche guys and got some pax laps in gordons gt3 RS and gregs turbo ow yeah.. that RS is unvelievable!! ..lapped everything on the track after only 5 or 6 laps. great fun! everyone seemed to disappear pretty sharpish after, my car was the only one in the carpark at 4pm when I got back. it was completely freezing though so i'm not surprised really.

Exactly - its interesting to know what mpg other people get, but if you got a healthy car then lower mpg = more fun you had using it! - the difference between a fast tank and a slow tank for me is about 40 miles, about the same distance as driving to glasgow. ... and who wants to go there!?

Heads Up >> Trip To The Nurburgring 2008 ?
ScoobySounds replied to ~ ~ Cal ~~'s topic in Scottish Scoobies
I would LOVE to do this, but am not sure what sort of driver I am yet, I might be s****e. my car is about a month away from being track-ready, so i'm soon to find out on knockers, and then get to meet some of you chaps. so what happens on the trip? drive there/do 12hrs of laps/drive back? are the 12hrs over a few days? Do you race from a grid or is everyone competing on lap times? and.. will I have to stick sponsers all over my car to get on the track? My sponser will probably end up being Direct Line if I don't get the practice in! -
I thought that when I read it first aswell, he DID 420 miles in total, on 1.3 tanks of fuel. still ridiculous to me, how the hell do people get 300 odd miles out a tank!? I know we are in it for the fun etc but I wouldn't mind a little bit more. mines a 308bhp and I get 220 slow and 180 fast. It smells like most of my petrol falls out the back when I switch it on though!

ok, open your picture in paint on your computer. save as.. jpeg. go to www.photobucket.com register an account upload your pictures they now have some links associated with them, one being its 'IMG' code. (thats like forum language) click on the IMG code and photobucket copies it to your clipboard. just paste that into the reply [ I M G ]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v605/cpcampion/DSCN205222.jpg [ / I M G ] should look like this, without spaces it will be a picture!

That's with the anti-lag OFF right?

lol just read that! i'm not the only one then.

don't put them on too low - I pulled my rear bumper off by reversing onto a kerb. DOH!
-
That will be me!

Hey Thanks! yeah thats the Forth Rail Bridge, I actually stay in leith but grew up in s.Qferry
-
oh- and mod wise I reckon a bonnet vent, some nice wheels and maybe lower springs then leave it.
-
I like the colour AND the the bumper strips! apart from anything else aswell they'll save carpark dings. I always liked the handling of my old sport, it was better than my wrx when I got it. not now though

Hi Fai, thanks I should've said its a classic, does that make a difference? Hi steve - yeah thats what I thought but duncan said either 18's or 19s! not 17s. i'll have to check the size tomorrow.. i did know, but i've just suddenly got ill tonight so not thinking very well.
-
hypertech have just put some AP 6 pots put on the car and now my wheels don't fit back on. duncan says they are 19" wheels, (although I thought they were 18s) but they are obviously much narrower on the inside.. so I am in desperate need this week of some second hand 18" wheels if anyone can help us out that would be great. speedlines? I will definately also consider part exchanging these ones .. sorry if this sounds too much like a thread that should be on the for sale bit, but I'm not sure if I can post there. cheers, Chris.

Question For Those With Classic Imports?
ScoobySounds replied to paulc555's topic in Scottish Scoobies
in my 99 import the fuse box is behind the small change compartment just to the right of the steering wheel, and under the bonnet. No idea where to find the indicator one though I'm afraid, in the past I've just pulled them all till i've found the one i've needed. -
I Agree.. he was up at mine last week doing both my cars and my sisters.. here's the van befores and afters. I haven't got any of the shampoo job on the inside - which is a shame cos that was the most impressive difference.
-
lol oh dear, here we go. your has acne though!
-
yeah I bought mine with 18s but after a few arch scrapes when the car iss overloaded i'm wondering if I should go to 17s. especially now the cars about to be fitted with some aftermarket springs.
-
Great post ;because i'm going to be there soon. I'll be getting mine back from Hypertech soon with 6pot uprades and sorted suspension, and already having andyf'd the engine, will be taking it on its first trackday outing soon. can't wait! That sounds a bit scary about the engine cutting out.. I'm not sure I would've known that the IC pipes could cause such a thing. btw.. easily the best colour of impreza you have there.

I've just got back from working on Mull I've been there since the middle of september, when I heard this rally was on I was so gutted not be be able to stay for it. Saw a few guys "practicing", which isn't good form as they woulda been disqualified if caught. understandable cos the roads are just a collection of single track blind corners.
