  1. thats mint mate - the kit makes it look quite evo-like from the side, ..still no pics under that bonnet?
  2. cheers mate! the yellow bits are a bit of a theme, I'm getting a different side decal shortly too.. I don't know what yet, but for sure it will be yellow!
  3. at the time I couldn't believe the damage - but that was actually caused at about 5mph (seriously), black ice right into a kerb. It was such a cllunk it felt like the wheel had buckled under. but turned out all geometry was fine! I'm only getting round to getting it fixed now cos i've got a slow puncture developed that isn't the tyre or the seal - so I suspect air is coming in the kerbed rim.
  4. ha! aye - screw all these decisions! I'd definately be saving maself some much needed cash.. I always liked the silver, but need some pretty serious repair done on one of them so fancy a bit of a change while i'm at it!
  5. i think you are both right, one minute to the next! ok, 1-1
  6. Hi all, I'm getting my wheels refurbed next week, I've already ordered anthracite powder coating but am now having second thoughts, I think I prefer lighter, even white maybe! white makes it look more toy like, where anthracite is more bad boy. its definately a toy, and I'm no bad boy. what suits this car better? these are from http://www.rarerims.co.uk/virtual/ now; anthracite white black its quite a good website for those with no photoshop skills, I definately know what the car WONT suit haha; Any thoughts welcome, Chris.
  7. need to get some more pics up of this car chris, I don't think you've done it justice. show us under the bonnet mate dinnae tease
  8. Hi mate - are you still having second thoughts about your yellow anti roll bar? Its just that i've got a bit of a yellow theme running through my scoob, and would happily swap my 24mm Whiteline rear bar for yours! Its only about 1000 miles old.
  9. Hi Chris, saw your car loads a while back at Steve Whitsons, so was enjoying seeing it on the list for knockers tomorrow, was gonna coma along an have a look - ah well next time. boo ! Cheers, Chris.
  10. i've got a sunroof! (classic import) is it not just an upgrade option?
  11. Oh Well! haha
  12. Do the pops and bangs use up more fuel?
  13. the veyron was 1:18 point something and the zonda was 1:17.8 love that "pantamime" zonda!
  14. hmm.. any predictions? hopefully under 1:20 maybe 1:21 i reckon.
  15. yes, I would like to know that too! would the tyre size alone account for the difference?
  16. very interesting, thanks for the responses. as regards to tyre pressure.. I have been experimenting, I started them off at 35psi, which is the pressure I enjoyed on the eagles, and went down to about 32 and still found them wild. Yesterday I was considering toying with this slammed down Civic around livingston, but it just hoored it around the roundabout where I had absolutely no chance. it was the final straw! I will persist with them.. well.. I have to cos I cannae afford to change em now!
  17. I was using the goodyear eagle f1's before, and I wish I had them back. Problem was I was shredding them since they were 225's on a classic. So I changed to 215's in the shape of Toyo T1-r's , which come recommended here. Specifically; from 225/40 to 215/35.. I've put about 350 miles on them so they should be run-in fine now, but they feel gripless round corners and very very unplanted and skittish. I just had the whiteline stuff done not long ago and absolutely loved it with the Eagle F1's, but now the handling feels worse than before any whilteline stuff went on the car! whats going on!? anyone want some tyres? swap for 215/40 F1's
  18. thats phenomonal!
  19. looks sweet gus!!
  20. ha! ..damn!!? I hadn't seen this thread mate .. i just got the stripes off fleebay!
  21. So here is the stripe on the car now - what a headache it was putting it on! drivers side it perfect , but the passanger side I didn't clay bar enough so theres lumps, also I put too much soap in the water spray, so it took hours to dry and still pulled the decal up again when I peeled the applicator off. I'll just have to park it with the good side facing out lol. half done not quite the same shade as the seats it was dark by the time i'd finished best i could do..
  22. haha I thought i was gonna see a micra or something, lol, another scooby - class nice one! .. the best colour!
  23. Ahhhhhhh... its all clear now.. ..I won't tell you what I was looking at, although you can probably guess! Its not healthy for me to learn this as i'l now be planning a whole spate of mods that I can't afford. Thanks, Chris.
  24. so its a phase 1.5 cos the coil pack is in the middle? right? which makes it more difficult to put an sti7 tmic? Cheers, Chris.
  25. no worries then phil, it was the 'hearing them squeal' thing that was somewhat disturbing about your post. Incidentally, Back on topic.. I once found loads of paw prints on my roof, and on inspecting the car all around, I found loads of wee scratches on the nearside wing and naturally I blamed the cats too - until a bodyshop guy pointed out that the scratches were actually from driving too close to branches at the side of the road! Just a thought for others reading this as a further assist for scratch diagnostics.
