  1. Looks very nice, what version is it? I take it it’s not the one scoobyian was selling? Derek
  2. Couldn’t quite work out when Cockenzie became Port Seton or Port Seton became Cockenzie or which one is the posh one! When are you hoping to get yours done? Derek
  3. Just went for the 2.0ltr rebuild in the end due to funds, or the lack of them, more to the point. The car has an uprated fuel pump, 3" ScoobySport exhaust and Meercat backbox, STi 6 speed box and clutch and now with some of the AndyF knowledge inside. Happy days!! Derek
  4. Can’t recommend it enough Gary, the difference is unbelievable, everything is now silky smooth through the full rev range! Good luck finding Andy’s garage, it’s right at the harbour and there is no name on the garage, and as I found out there’s 2 harbours! Find the Bene’s Fish and Chips and your nearly there. He did say he wasn’t too busy in January. Thanks for all comments, Derek
  5. Went to see AndyF this afternoon so he could work his magic on the RB5. Car has just had the bottom end rebuilt so wanted to make sure the car was running as sweet as could be – don’t fancy that expense again! All went really well, with no major problems, except trying to pay by card. I’ve attached the dyno Andy supplied which I am delighted with. Certainly a starting point to go on from. 276 bhp and 309 lb/ft torque. Thanks again AndyF Derek
  6. Mike, Fantastic job, car as always looks very nice. John, do you not fancy a wee trip to Penicuik tomorrow morning and join the Borders meet? Would be good to see you and Sharon and the motor. Derek
  7. Will definately be there in the morning, but can’t make the run. Sure Doug will be delighted and look forward to seeing you and everyone else. Derek

  9. WOW! Absolutely stunning – car and driving! Only spoiled by strange wee goatee – once you see it you’ll think the same!! Derek
  10. Car looks fantastic and well looked after – only thing that spoils it is the weights on the outside edge of the wheels. I’d get them rebalanced and put on the inside. Derek
  11. Frank, Got the car back on Friday and all seams well but want to put between 500 and 1000 miles, get the liquids changed and i’ll be ready. Derek
  12. Where’s the pics? Who done the wheels and whats the Reg. Derek

  14. Neil, Looks like you’ve got the 7 year itch (could have been worse!) RS4 all the way – you’ve wanted it for so long, time to live the dream. Just have to decide which one – Convertible, Saloon or Avant? Happy shopping Derek
  15. http://www.onlyautos.co.uk/Car-Parts/Subaru Certainly loads of stock but don’t know what they are like. Anyone used or know any information on them. Don’t know if it is any use to anyone trying to source parts Derek

  17. Congratulations to the Braveheart household! Derek
  18. Geo, Glad to see it all coming together – certainly no half measures there. Can’t wait till its up and running round KH. Derek
  19. Chris, Glad you arrived back safe and all is well – you certainly sound like a happy bunny or the preverbial dog with 2 bits!! Hope you have fun at KH tomorrow – would love to come and see, but getting taken fishing with my wee lad tomorrow for the first time up in Perth – I think he is as excited as you. All the best and hope all goes well with number 2. Derek
  20. Chris, Sounds fantastic – if not a tad mental!!! – in a good way though! Must agree with you about Steve, and only wish i had the cash to let him work on mine. When are you picking it up? Will watch out for you round the Penicuik/Bush area – probably be better listening mind you!! Have fun Derek PS Hope you manage to spend some time with the family as well!!
  21. Chris, Car is sounding fantastic – are there any original bits left? How did it get on down the sunny East Coast? Derek

  23. I sort of like it? Would prefer it yellow stripes with black in the middle (as the STi Logo on the flaps). If it also continued right round and was the same height and position of the rear number plate (so overall the stipes were the same depth as the plate 1/3 yellow, 1/3 black, 1/3 yellow) Just my opinion/vision though. Derek Tried it but not sure – seamed a fantastic idea in my head!!
