A big thank you to Wilky and Craig Mac for all the advice! Yes after a very long time (11 weeks) I now have RB5 126 back. AP’s on the front replaced, rears upgraded to Black Diamonds, Exedy clutch, 6 speed box, 180 rear diff and an empty wallet! Car feels like it is quicker than before but can be a bit brutal at times. [] Very glad to have it back, although not managed to take it a long run yet. So roll on next week as I’ve taken the week off to prepare for the big 40!

Absolutely superb!!! Congratulations to all who organised it and all who took part! Wished I could have been there, but unfortunately now 6 weeks without a car, and no sign of it on the horizon. Will definitely be involved next year!!! Derek

Hopefully I’ll get mine back on the road by Christmas! 5 weeks without so far and really missing it. And when it does come back it will have new brakes, clutch and gearbox (5 or 6 speed though, not sure yet). Still i’ve saved a fortune getting the bus!! LOL

Not heard much about these but have heard good things about Toyo R888’s. And they are road legal!

Speed is relative. 30 down the main street is sometimes even too fast, but then 90 on the motorway can be achieved without any dramas at all. Ally, I've followed you a few times and yes you can drive pretty damn quickly, but I would never say you were taking risks. Other traffic is given plenty of consideration, as is the conditions. St3ph3n, sounding a bit like a stalker here!

Like Miss Daisy most of the time, until you hit that right bit of road or that bit in the brain makes you hit the GO pedal!

Think the kit looks great! Would be better all one colour, and yes matt black would look superb!! Quickly tried it all blue and it looks not bad. Hope you like?

A big thank you to st3ph3n, 4hero and kloon with there technical help! Firefox seems to be the way to go for Macs. Have you any good tips on money making? 90,000 service on the RB5 – bad enough needing a new clutch, but discs and pads all round HURTS – especially the AP’s at the front. Still it was about time the kids stopped believing in Santa!

Pics always seem to work fine on my MAC, what OS are you using ? And use Firefox, it's a damn site better than IE. And to answer Stephen's question; run faster, are more stable and are a damn site less prone to crashing than any PC ; Running with OS 10.4.8. Will try moving to Firefox rather than IE. Also agree with your answer to st3ph3n and they also keep you dry in the wet! Thanks

Do you know if there is anything you have to do different when you place pics on an Apple Mac? Posted some yesterday and they showed when I previewed, but not when posted. 4hero fixed it for me (hoped it would be Jim) but I had done as he had? Hope you can help Derek

Paul at Dastek has one they have majorly played with. Supercharged with lots of other handling goodies. They say it surprises a lot of supposedly far superior cars! Looks very different due to the reflective, shiny PINK film they added to be noticed. Even his good lady wont get in it now!!

Welcome Billy! Good choice of name! Great minds maybe. Run about Edinburgh and Lothians in an RB5 (well will do when it gets another new clutch) Hopefully catch you at one of the meets.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Hope to meet a lot more of you soon. Unfortunately I’m Scoobyless at the moment, as after only 3 and a bit months, my upgraded clutch has decided to die on me. So the car is back at Dastek for investigation! While I was there though, had a sneeky peek through in the workshop and saw some interesting projects, with figures like 450/480 being mentioned!! Can’t wait to see them finished.
