Heading to Meercat on Monday to collect my Raffle Prize ! Can’t wait!! Wife is working in Irvine and Stewarton on Monday and Tuesday. Great day today!!!! Huge thanks to Rosie and Santa Spooks for all there continuous efforts! Must apologise about the state of the RB, hoped to wash it this morning but took too long to defrost and the hose was frozen solid! Passing Nobles Garage this morning had to look twice! Transporter full of Impreza’s – nothing out of the ordinary there! 3 Impreza’s on the top level and 3 underneath – still nothing unusual! BUT the 3 underneath were upside down and fastened to the top level!!! On the last car was a graphic with – The New Impreza – it sticks to the road!! Still not sure about the look of the car yet – but Ad wise, it’s fantastic!! Derek

So went to the local garage to get it fixed. Left it with them and went back 30mins later. Only to be told – I have good news and bad news for you! Good news – you’re here! Bad news – you need 4 new tyres!!!! All 4 have tread below 1.6mm. After I picked myself up and went through a few options, I now have 4 Toyo T1R’s and an empty wallet! Can it get worse? Yes – car needs a service this month and the clutch is slipping more than a slippy thing!!!

S-Max first impressions on the 150 mile drive back from picking it up was very good. Very good looking car, comfortable and easy to drive, responsive engine (only 140bhp, half the RB) and more buttons than Cadbury’s. Did like the Zafira though, was good to us but not very economical (2.2 petrol) but had the full Irmscher bodykit, so looked very different from any other. Will get pics up soon, picked it up on Wed, wife away to Rugby on Thurs, back Sat then Inverness on Sunday. So with that mileage, it will probably pay for itself!! Derek

Picked up a new car on Wednesday – nice round trip to Durham and back! Good news is it is a 2 litre turbo[]!! Bad news it’s not a Subaru[:'(] More bad news – its DIESEL[+o(] Decided to go for a Ford S-Max – great family car, very versatile, great for holidays – well that’s what the salesman told me. Yes it is a great car, very nice to drive, wife and kids love it, very economical (something a bit Alien to me, but seemingly you don’t have to go to petrol stations twice a week?). Oh and nearly forgot, still got the RB5,[<)] traded in the old Zafira!! Derek

Shaun Looks a very sore one, in more ways than one! A very sad sight to see indeed. Glad all injuries are only minor, except the car. Devastating though it is and the time and effort you put in looking after your car – in the long run they are only metal. Hope all gets sorted out insurance wise and you get what you deserve, for what looked like an immaculate P1. Derek

Car looks stunning! Regarding your lights – where did you get them (are they the ones from the US on ebay)? Very tempted with these and would like to see more. Do you have any other pictures of them – day and night? Thanks Derek
