  1. Welcome. Get a few pics up when you get the chance. Enjoy the car
  2. Parks around the corner from my girlfriend. Always wondered if it was anyone's on here?
  3. I know what you mean mate. Myself and a group of friends toured Poland a couple of years back and went out to Auschwitz from Krakow. Not being up on my WW2 history I really didn't know what to expect but the place itself, the size, scale of what went on just leaves you speachless. You just can't describe the place and cannot think of anything else to type, but it has left more of a lasting impression than anywhere else I have ever visited.
  4. Welcome, Great looking wagon you have there.
  5. Hello and Welcome. Good looking Wagon you got there. A previous Glasgow Audi customer here as the Bodyshop straightened out my Bugeye earlier in the year.
  6. Don't think it really is much smaller. Remember seeing dimensions and I don't think it was really any smaller a wheel base than the current car. I will wait and see a real one but the photochopped/disguised STI has grown on me. Also, after initially loving the new EVO, having now seen the pics of a real one on the Ring, I am liking it less!
  7. Good night apart from the midges. Will need to bring my midge hat complete with net that I use at rallies the next time! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Need to clear a space on the credit card as I always seem to have the quietest car there! Must rectify!
  8. Wouldn't trust Kwik Fit as far as I could throw them. My parents have used Jim Dickson for years and he is always spot on! [Y]
  9. What did you guys do to get offered that? If it is free, then why not go for it!
  10. Hello and welcome. Stunning looking motor you have there! Black is definitely the best colour! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> What do you use to get the paintwork looking like that? Spent a long time claying and polishing mine in the spring but you can still see the swirls.
  11. Welcome. Nice looking motor you have there [Y]
  12. Yup, Elephant couldn't care less, especially when you claim! Would never touch them again! [:@]
  13. I was told that recently too. I had been planning to get them to put on my new tyres afterwards rather than the old ones. I was told that tyre removal and refitting wasn't included anyway. Not what it says on the sticky? [:S]
  14. Looking for new rubber for my WRX. Got a mate with a Celica GT4 who swears by Avon ZZ3s. I have never used Avons so was wondering if anyone ran then and if they were any good? Would be quite a saving against a Goodyear or Toyo but then cheap is not neccessarily the best. Cheers.
  15. The change to the hatch is not necessarily the problem, it is the fact it just looks so bland although undoubtedly the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />US saloon looks better. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I think that the greenies have seen off the WRX as they want to sell more normally aspirated models in an effort to reduce the range's CO2 emissions. I think I read that 70% of Imprezas sold have been turbo models so regardless of the reasoning it seems a pretty bizarre move not to sell the WRX here. I think they have a really hard sell ahead of them as they will no doubt lose many WRX customers who don't want to or aren't able to step up to the STI. They will lose customers because it is a hatchback and they will lose customers who just don't like it. I think it will be difficult to sell such an anonymous bland hatchback to a whole new customer base. However we can only assume that Subaru know their market and know something we don't. As for the STI, I like what I have seen so far, all be it just the photochopped versions. The current STI is a long way from the base model 1.5 Wagon! I could live with a hatchback and as long as they manage to beef up the styling a bit to make it more aggressive and Impreza like so I am looking forward to seeing one for real! Just need to find the money to trade up to an STI!!
  16. I am with Elephant and never again. They seem fine and cheap until you have to claim! But I won't get started on that one! Gav, if this was 2 years from now I might just have been biting your arm off for one of your WRXs!! But I don't think you will have a new WRX in 2 years time [:'(]
  17. I have such a short list! Pased test in 1996 but no money for a car until I graduated in 2001. 1. Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXi. 2. Subaru Impreza WRX (Bugeye) 3. Peugeot 106 Diesel - but only for commuting and work mileage!
  18. Few pics from me now I have bothered to download them! Better late than never. How many BBQs can you fit on a picnic table? 3 Bugeyes And another Not a photographer but, me trying to be arty! The the fog that seemed to roll up the valley and then just disappear. Despite the clouds, not too much of this stuff either.
  19. Was in the local Shell garage in Linwood earlier filling up the French oil burner and they had a note on the pumps indicating that V Power will be available at the normal unleaded price (currently 94.9) between 8am and 6pm on Monday 11th June. []<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Ideal time to fill up if you are passing.
  20. Good night, will post pics when I get them downloaded. Probably Monday!
  21. Hello and Welcome. If you make it along tomorrow night, remember the barbie (and not the blonde plastic variety)! []
  22. Know what you mean saw a few people with 'carry outs'. 1st stage on saturday we were standing next to 4-5 guys with their Stellas, FFS I`d just finished my breakfast! [] I remember a couple of years ago on the Snowman there was a group out at Rogie at about 10am with the alcopops absolutely off their faces. The marshals were having to drag them back before the arrival of each car. Problem with the Jim Clark is that there are so many casual spectators who see this one rally a year and are just not able to se the danger they are in. I didn't go to Langton as I anticipated that with it being the only stage of the night it would be chokka, and that appeared to be the case. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> There are a lot of comments on britishrally.co.uk about the marshalling but fair play to the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Marshalls on the stages I was at ( Bothwell 1 & 2, Edrom 1 & 2, Eccles and Swinton 1 & 2) as I thought they were pretty spot on. Didn't see the kids with the bibs on at Swinton but I did find this at the Granite and last years McRae where the marshalling was just farcical. Someone really needs to put their foot down on that issue. Much as you are their as a volunteer, the job needs to be done properly. If you want to spectate and take photos then don't be a marshal I like just spectating but I have always thought about marshalling of a few events but just never been convinced give the amount of marshal bashing that seems to go on. Might yet manage to download the photos!
