  12. dave, sorry to hear its a write off mate, gutted for ya.i'm not going to talk you into buying another scoob as i know myself keeping a classic in good working order can be expensive some times,i run about in a works van all the time so its mostly a weekend toy for me. I hope some day in the future though youll be back behind the wheel looking over that scoop. p.s. if Steve cant make any meets /runs /events give me a shout,i'll be happy to give you a lift mate. oh aye,i like your thinking with this quote dave........ "Will keep posting on the forum, and come along to meets though. My Bro in Law still has his(Double Zero) so will hitch a lift with him and means I can get beer in the future!
  13. got loads of pics here as well noel.
  14. for those of you obsessed with fuel consumption figures........as the price of V-power is going to go through the roof ,i thought i'd empty the tank and try Tesco 99 for the first time, now i've always been a bit wary of supermarket fuel, especially after the recent" dodgy"batch problems,so it was always V-power for me. So where better to try out Tesco 99 than a wee run, firstly i found no difference in performance, but as the run progressed i felt the pick-up was getting better especially out of slow tight corners,i could have imagined all this mind you but it did feel slightly better. I'm not one for working out fuel consumption,so it worked out about 3/4 of a tank approx 50 quid(99p/ltr) for a "spirited" run today which was 215 miles from Cumbernauld and back,in a 00/my uk turbo with NO mods except a de-cat centre section and a s/steel backbox. So i'll give the Tesco stuff a go for a wee while yet i think.
  15. good timing mate..........read this quote as well............."Subie Invasion 2007 will be dedicated to our hero, Colin McRae. I would like to see everyone at the event!" dont forget the camera!
  16. wow!thats going to be one awesome "woodcutter " when your done mate.
  17. looks a beauty Geo,well done!
  18. wow! what a day for a run,and what a run it was,i hadnt been this route before so it was all new to me,some amazing, technical twists ,turns, cambers, blind crests(yes Imy i gave it a squirt on the approach to that humpback bridge as well.......yeehaaa! ).I was behind AndyJDMsti on the first leg and as squiggle said the popping and banging was awesome .On some roads where the sheep were wondering on the road, the sound of Andy's WRC machine had them running away before the big guy(The fast one) from Aberdeen could get anywhere near them . All the roads were dry so we could "enjoy" ourselves, some really nice scenery along the way as well. All in all it was a good way to end the "season" which was not bad for October, once again thanks to Imy and Grant for a crackin' day oot. heres a few pics from the day.............. ello..ello..ello...whats all this then?........ and finally one of the old girl having a break.............
  19. #### missed it again. ,wouldnt it be great if someone had recorded it then put it onto a dvd ,which i could purchase.

  21. wow! that looked mint before you started choppin' mate,i prefer the "droop snoot" front end myself, but i'm sure it'll be a peach when your finished it.oh! btw welcome to scottish scoobies, all you need now is a tidy "classic" scoob and youll have 2 superb cars.
