  1. Neil, if you're opting for the p/drives then don't be put off the splitter idea. Have p/drives and a splitter myself and have had no issues. Just don't park right up to kerbs at the front - for obvious reasons. Personally I think the p/d's could be doing with lowering the car a touch more but I love the ride quality that they give - can't have it all I suppose Craig.
  2. Welcome buddy, enjoy your stay !! Craig.
  3. Looking sweet mate !! Hate it when you you get that bored that you start looking at other folks cars and think mmmmmmmm...... LOL Good job mate, so when you gonna be around the Dundee area Craig.
  4. You dinnae need to tell me, I've been a victim of these little t.ossers. Would have ripped the bastids head off if your colleagues weren't present. I would always phone the coppers anyway, as you say it's their job to sort this stuff out. Craig.
  5. Boris, You rekon this is fairly legit then or a waste o time ??
  6. Good find Graeme Can anyone on here verify if it is a recognised database - it does come up with the correct car info. Even worked on my bike. It registers a company van of ours but not one of the company cars ?? Craig.
  7. Wouldnae really agree, think he was making a wee example of ya there !! Was done for 72 in a 40 on the bike along the kingsway, went to court and got 4 points and £125 fine. You judge obviously didnae like the sound o yir name or somethin' Never mind mate we all get caught bonny sometimes, chin up. Craig.
  8. No worries at all, wee bit o advice - remove the grill before trying to remove the h/l. And when you've taken all bolts out the the h/l will still be clipped into the wing. It's pretty tight don't be scared to be a wee bit brutal pulling it away from the front of the car (again just make sure you have all fixtures off before giving it some welly ) Craig.
  9. Hi mate, I posted this earlier to another member, "Donald, just noticed there that ScoobyBits do a deal. £200 gives you a front splitter and the 'detango -ing' of your own lights. You could always whip your lights oot and send them to them ? Just an idea Craig. " Hope this helps ya
  10. How does everyone initially find out about these days ?? Have never heard of a v-power day in Dundee ?? Craig.
  11. Cheers mate, when I eventually work on it again I'll give it a wee check and see how bad it is
  12. Well done with the stats mate - enjoy Are you still running the standard 440cc injectors and tmic ?? Where abouts did you go for your turbo ?? Craig.
  13. I love your descriptions Craig Cheers buddy, so it's no that big a job at all then ? I assume a bit of patience is needed if silicone has been used tho' ?? Craig.
  14. Thinkin' of improving the back end of the steed. Been pondering over the Scoobyworld / Revolution S202 / Type 25 Carbon Wing. Has anyone had dealings with either company, if so how did they find the quality of the product ?? Craig.
  15. Riddle time : How much of a pain in the a.rse is the removal of the afore mentioned items. Have decided to paint my black ones blue Craig.
  16. Cheers lads for the info. Got the new battery on last night, after sanding all the connectors i could get off (some bolt heads were like blobs of rust - good auld fordies ). B.loody light was still on, getting low 12's over the battery when car was off, high 13's / low 14's when revving at 2k with dimister etc off, low 12's when idling with everything switched on and high 13's / low 14's with everything on and revving at 2k ????? Mystery, so I handed it back to her explaining just to keep an eye on the turn over speed, when it shows signs of slowing up I'll go and get another altenator. Get's a phone this morning; "the light's went off", god knows - as i said 'good auld fordies' !! Thanks abody for your wee tupence worth Craig
  17. Sorry mate, can't really help with the fault but a wee investment in a code reader might be useful to ya. You get them on ebay for £30 ~ £40 me thinks. Might shed some light (saves on the daft dealership cost for a diagnostic) Craig.
  18. Could be Kev, gonna give the terminals a wee clean when I go to put the new battery on. Craig.
  19. Cheers mate, that was my first impression but seeing the increase in voltage across the battery when ticking over made me think again Craig.
  20. The weights don't have to go on the outside just ask the fitter to use the sticky one's for the inside of the wheel Craig.
  21. As above, the battery light is staying on whilst running. I've tried the basics eg. tightening fan belt & charged the battery. I put a multimeter across the battery when off and was giving a good 12v reading (bearing in mind I'd just charged it the day before). Tried again when running and again a healthy 13 ~ 14v across the battery. Just picked up a battery there in order to wittle down the possibilties, haven't fitted it yet, anyone got ant suggestions if the little b.ugger stays on ?? Thanks everyone, Craig.
  22. Just to clarify mate what tyres are in those photos ?? I would definitely go back to the supplier, if no joy certainly get in contact with the manufacturer. Never seen that in ma life before - obviously a faulty batch or something. It would certainly be best to raise it with someone, not everyone thats maybe bought from the same batch as yourself will have checked their condition, and we all know how nasty a blow out can be ?? Craig.
  23. Nae probs Donald, only noticed the deal myself. End o the day you can save £70ish quid doing the lights yourself., but if your one of a nervous disposition when cooking car parts you're prob best going this route. Prob would have done this when I had the notion misel Hope you get it all sorted, Craig.
  24. I'm all for toyo proxes T1-R's. Not long had them to comment on wear but grip in the wet / dry are pretty inspiring. Got mine through camskill. Think I was £307 incl delivery. Got them fitted at a local tyre dealer (hectyre) for £7 a corner. Hope this helps Craig.
  25. Donald, just noticed there that ScoobyBits do a deal. £200 gives you a front splitter and the 'detango -ing' of your own lights. You could always whip your lights oot and send them to them ? Just an idea Craig.
