  1. Affectionally known as the Vauxhall Chuvit ... Lol. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I think the editor of this clip had a grudge with Renault.
  2. Please don't let this thread disappear into Cyber Heaven Mr moderator. If we reply to it (lets say once a month) until the next Santa cruise, then it may incourage people to raise funds throughout the year for the sick and poorly children who's fault is not theirs. Andywrx. Thanks yet again. Growing up with a Brand new family is astonishing at the best of times, but looking at your number one posting on this thread still cracks me up big style. (The Subaru is just a bonus !) [] Alan ,Fab1 and wee Hollie.
  3. Yeouch ! http://www.killsometime.com/Video/video.asp?ID=495
  4. I know this one has been aired a lot so apologies first, but this one is the full story. How did the guy in the Ferrari survive the fire ? The clips I've seen on the net usually show the Ferrari on fire with some sombre music (as if the driver was killed) but this shows the end result being both drivers actually surviving.
  5. Owned a Toyota Celica before me scoob and loved it... Well its looks. About Looks, never going anywhere other than Subaru now though. Good vid of a Supra though... http://www.metacafe.com/watch/360922/deamon_supra/
  6. Sounds a bit like a glitch to me. Why would it go off though is a bit more concering. A bit like crossed wires to me. A Red oil light springs to mind with a Ford I owned. If it's Red then your too late anyways. PaulC555 I touch goats BTW.
  7. Took me a while to tie together your Asda trolley pushers experience in the Highs and lows of December thread but this is just adding insult to injury. Why does the Asda car parks seem to be a Jinx here. Tell me Nanaki - the thing that tore your doors open - was it in an Asda car park ? I'm not being funny here, but shouldn't the Asda manager have been a bit more co-operative than not returning your calls ? Youve got a PM. Alan.
  8. Thats not a joke mate - thats a real shame. [:^)]
  9. Dead heat eh ! Wonder what would have been the result if it weren't a bint driver. []
  10. Gus is right Nanaki. Insurance is a a deffo no - no as I see it In an instance like this one. (how'd you manage to cream the doors mate?) If you claimed your insurance - which I would assume as comprehensive, the aftermath of monthly payments far out weighs the benefits from a local coachworks outfit. Shame at the best. The cars a little bit bent, but the insurance companies leap on little incidents. I know that must be hard pill to swallow right now. But, untill we get pics, then ascertaining the damage and supposed repair costs are really unknown. Best as always.
  11. Merry Christmas one and all. Dont forget to stuff the sheep Turkey [D]
  12. Yep, insurance companies are run by figures and not people. I have a 21 year old No Claims discount which is accredited to the last five years on the road ! Track record accounts for nothing these days. Back to the topic though. I say accept the 3 points and the £60 fine. Reasons : A : The Rozzers are more seriously taken by the courts than Subaru drivers. (why - i'll never know) B : £60 It's not a lot of dosh compared with fighting it whether you were right or wrong. The system will win enevitably. C : The system is now geared around money (Just like in American states) ie. We win - you lose. If it were me in your situ, I'd just accept, I totally understand that your super angry if you were in the right, but the driving in the rain bit makes this case so complex that (I dont think) you or yer lawyer could hold a strong enough case. Sorry if this comes across the wrong way mate, but I would bite the bullet and pay the monies. Alan. (Sounding like a rozzer or a judge getting a homer) of which I am not. Best. Alan.
  13. Maybe a Data Protection act problem here though. The manager of the store can look at recordings but he's the only one with this privelage. But if it was taped and the culprits reggie is on the tape, then he has no worries about the Police havin' a look. Best of luck man.
  14. Guaranteed no details left I'm sure. What a walletache that Fecker has left you with mate (probably a Bint) I reversed into a Yamaha Vmax one time and knocked it over in the parking lot of my flat. I immediatelt went up to my flat and wrote down my details and went down and taped them to the fuel tank. Just as the biker came out the bottom door ![:S] I apologised profusely and he was so good about it. Bike repair £120 (no big deal) and a bottle of whisky for him and a bottle of wine for her. All sorted. (He was me feckin' neighbour and I didn't even know it !)[:$] Sh!t does happen, but c'mon £150 later and it's smiles all round. Not just a bad taste in the wallet.
  15. Hi AlanG Not Elvington in York, although I've been to a few model Jet meets there, but Melbourne Drag racing close to York is where the MiG29 was test flown by the designer "wee Jim Fox". He actually flew it over a neighbouring Dynamite Factory ! As the turbines run on Jet A1 (kerosene), on starting the two engines it smells just like being at the airport - Lurvly. I noticed a Turbo charger at Duncans place ( Hypertech) and it had a striking similarity to the turbines I had in the Mig. Maximum RPM from my turbines was 132,000 RPM (over 2000 spins/ second) After the fire, RPM was down to about 1 cycle a minute when turning by hand :-( The bearings had rusted pretty much solid with the water from the firefighters hoses and the initial heat of the fire, but were repairable and were repaired. But the MiG was gone so that was that. (Model aircraft ALL end up in the bucket 1 way or another unfortunately) Sending you a PM alan.
  16. Alan, I'm currently sticking with IE6 regardless if I can/Can't post pics as I think IE7 probably has more bugs in it than our cats litter tray. The guy you work with, did he just get a new black SDI with the full bhoona PPP (pun intended Lol.) Mig was flown 3 times at a drag racing strip in York, Twice at the balado airfield ( "T" in the park fame) then after the house fire - "Flew" about 8 feet from the ceiling to the deck in a burning garage Lol.
  17. Welcome Graig. I'm a newbie too. You will love your WRX mate, I've had mine 3 months now and it's a fantastic motoring experience. Merry Christmas.
  18. Range is out of site mate. If it ends up out of site , then its historic anyways. About ½ a mile away is fine because she was quite predictable on her flight path being quite a big profile in the sky. The Mig suffored one crash but was fixable .. her next ending was complete destruction though. A house fire claimed the life of this model and is now sadly ,no more... (£12k) Shame but hey, the fire happened on the night our first child was born, and I am glad that only the model got it (along with 6 other cheaper versions) and that mother and daughter were tucked away in the hospital at the time. I can LOL now. Those exciting times are gone. The future is with the wee one (and me scoob) Lol. Merry Christmas to you all. Alan. Jen, Hollie and a toasted MiG29 lol.
  19. Tried a few pics again, but no result using Yes it was a bit bulky at 20 Kgs. But the wings were detachable and so were the elevators (tail fins) It actually fitted in a VW Golf ! Wasn't speed checked but they reckoned at 240 MPH.
  20. Did that AlanG , Blimey it looks like were joined at the hip or summit.[:|] People, Just for the record. AlanG and Alan-G (me with Fab1 on board) are two completely different people. AlanG , I will try to reply to your post to see how you inserted the link - thanks BTW. I know a little bit about BBcodes but this board didn't like it. I'll try again and thanks M8.

  22. Used to build and fly model Jets. [Edit] Tried to insert an image but it was huge. Mods, any chance of a preview button ?
  23. Nowt wrong with being a Sloppy Git Andy ... Loved the vid/sounds. Your right in one department though - The Trans Siberian mob are pretty damn good... Keep 'em coming me old son .. Sterling work.
  24. Can I just may add a little comment here. Mr. Barberra - of the Hanna Barberra fame - Sadly died today at at 96 years of age. He was the last living founder member of Scooby Doo.
  25. Whether you think it backfired or not Andy isn't the point here. Yes, a lot of effort was put into the cruises etc. (and lots more from me and Fab1 next time around I may add). But the pictures you 'stuck together' and put a 'bit of music' to, meant just a shade more to people than you think. What YOU (yes YOUR effort) above and beyond what you did in the background to help - by creating the above movie was unbelievably heart warming. Me and Fab1 having an 18 month old, who's Christmas this year will be SO special, openly wept last night after watching the clip you created as not only being quite the masterpiece it is, the way you compiled it summed it up for a lot of folks as to the special meaning Christmas is for the kids. I think all the praise you are receiving and probably will still receive, is merely our thanks to your effort at reminding us with such a beautiful compilation what happened due to the cruises, and how many people were much happier for doing so. The look on the wee girls face looking up at Santa was truly emotional. Thanks again. Alan,Jen and wee Hollie. Of to watch it again.[]
