What does your log book state on yer emissions St3ph3n (Co2 scenario) ? Is it as bad as I thought - If it is then were all fecked.

Went into Glasgow for lunch with Fab 1 today. Parked in a parking zone, purchased an over priced/taxed parking sticker from an automated ticket dispensing Feckin traffic wardeny type machine, peeled the sticker off strip and stuck it to the inside of me windscreen. (£3.10 for 1½ hoors !) Went to lunch. (Lurvly - Sizzlers in the merchant City - and pretty cheap) Came back to the motor to find a £60 penalty parking ticket under the wiper ! We were well within the time limit ? The sodding little sticker fell off and landed upside down on he dashboard, so the parky couldn't see the times etc. Automatic - you didn't display, so youll effin'pay - ticket was issued. First thing was to use the mobile phones camera and take a picture of aforementioned Dalek wardens time read out with the ticket it formerly puked at me. It showed I had paid, was within parking time limit, and basically legally parked. Spotted the 'Real' warden that issued the ticket, ran after him, and managed to be polite. He said - it happens all the time. I said, well make the stickers a bit more sticky - problem solved! Anyways, am rambling on as usual. End result (still unknown) is that the photo from me phone of the time displayed on the ticket dispenser along with the ticket that Dalek gave me show that I was within the time limit for the parking. After downloading the pics (also of the Parky's shoulder number - which he gave quite gladly and actually posed for the shot) the situation of whether I was legally parked is quite clear. (but you Really have to use the zoom function to see the times on both the Dalek and the ticket mind) Will Glesga council waive the 60 nicker ? [:$]

If yer over 225g/km emissions (shown on yer log book) then its automatic Band G. No questions about it. My WRX is the 2.5 ltr resulting in more emission. Standard 2.0ltr WRX is about 219g/km emissions which is a baw hair under 225 (wouldn't take much of an engine management problem to excede that on yer next MOT though. But if still under 225g/km then yer in band F. £210 bunny's a year. HTH.

Sorry to say st3ph3n but thats not quite right. I am in group G but I think you are in Group F. Its tight between F and G for you. Check your log book. Whats yer Co2 emissions ? If yer less than 225g/km then yer in Group F. More and your in G. But, I think wi' yer mods then your in my group. :-(

MotorPoint .... Sorry but everything was bad news from them. Got Fab 1's Hyundai coupe FX from them. FINALLY got a test drive out of them. Price was about right MY05 £11k 10kmiles. Picked up the car - NO Feckin' radio (they took it out and said it wasn't standard spec !) Only got 1 key. Finally got the Log book to find it was imported. Getting the WRX was going to be a different story though as it would be Brand new. NO test drive ! They flattly refused. No alarm / tracker. Tracker and alarm HAD to be fitted by them (I thought that would be my choice) This was not an option, they wouldn't sell without these additions. I would be 2nd on the log book. Offered £1000 less than book price for me Celica. Wouldn't go near them again. Got an excellent deal from motordepot in Hull. 1st on the log book, cat1 Toad alarm, locking wheel nuts,Standard Subaru warranty (but had to register with a dealer but no problems) Car was delivered from Hull and Part exchange uplifted for book price without inspection. £3000 cheaper than Motorpoint.

Welsho, Checkout the VED calculator above ! I did, my car seems to still be in the F range and not G - so it looks like we both don't have the £300 - £400 hammer blow ! Thanks Steve BTW [Y]

Having had the same treatment, i know how you must feel kerry - but Jesus H. Chr!st - the whole car ! I know yer gutted but life has a funny way of gettin' these people back.
