Grant, (Squirell555) It went all uphill for us when I got my first scoob. I met yourself and Imy and attended the Glesga Santa cruise and you - between yourselves raised almost £8k for the Yorkhill sick kids fund. And thats a downhill slope ? All makes of cars eventually go down the pan with age and corrosion. You might see less Classics due to this. But it is enevitable unfortunately. Boy racers do spoil images. But boy racers are more than likely to be thick enough to learn it the hard way , Pearlescent blue hatchback or not , classic blue or not. Or a bad crash incident. It boils down to a similar equation. Cars get old and cheaper , boy racers can afford them , but because of the cheap - and high amount of buyers, puts a high powered sports car within the reach of younger drivers. It's a no win situation. This forum is possibly best medium to teach the younger drivers. My opinion only. Alan.

Just thought I would start a wee thread aboot all the Scottish scooby owners (SIDC or not) that me and Fab1 (the missus) have met since I bought my first scoob aboot 9 months ago noo. A truly amazing clan. List of people I've met (forgive me if I ommit anyone) Squirrel , Imy , Peter(Fai17) ,Gus les autobus , Marky T.S. , ScoobyIain , G-Mac(Graham), 4hero (Neil) , Spooks (Spooks) , Rosie , Dougie-C , Ally-B , Ali_ (+ missus and anklebiter), Gav (Scoobyseller555) , Duncan at Hypertech with awe the family and dugs , St3ph3n , Cyp_rock and his family , All the guys at the Glesga Santa cruise etc. Still want to meet AndyWRX as he's the main video maker, as is Neil, the photo-taker (that rhymed BTW Lol) But met him on Sunday last. (Super sound bloke) Every person we have actually met with over the past 9 months or so have been the nicest peoples I've met yet. And lest not forget, John Welsh - the man who offered me a few PX laps at Knockhill next.... not met him or his machine so far ! [] And let us also not forget the waves from complete strangers who, by a simple wave , agree that Subaru rocks. Take care of you and yours folks. Alan,Jen (Fab1) and wee Hollie.

Firstly, please don't get confused with me (Alan-G) and AlanG as we are different folks (he's a stalker really though Lol) About a part-ex, I got me WRX from a similar crew (www.motor-depot.co.uk) (same price £13,999) and told them over the blower aboot Fab1's (me missus) peaugeot 307 pile of dog dirt. and they offered book price without even seeing it. Once the deal was done, I just had to wait a day or so and the WRX arrived on a 1 car transporter and the fella just rolled it off, rolled on the pug and off he went. Superb service and what a really nice bunch of people to deal with. Alan-G Ps. the peaugeot 307 was more expensive to buy 1½ years previously than the WRX ! Both brand new.

Hawkeye photoshoot photos - 56k users, got a spare hour?
Alan-G replied to 4Hero's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Lol. John [] Naw Iain, no polishing just the odd wash. Still amazing after a wash - the detailing you did was an excellent job. Was good to meet 4hero spooks and Rosie although we met Rosie at knockers one time, both top blokes and blokess BTW [Y] Pics are excellent. -
I touch goats Neil.

Front end is lovely, but the back end would be reversed into my driveway so the neighbours couldn't see it.

Enjoy Iain ... [^][G][Y]

Not entirely happy with Hypertech today. Builders doin me hoose for sellin' wanted a look under the bunnet. Coolant level was not visible. Car doesn't leak. Did they check it ? You on board Duncan to shed any light ?
-

Just picked up on this one Shaun. To be honest, it could have been very much worse than what the pictures show. What a mess. What a shame. No "win win" situation here - only a pain in the f******* arse. Christ, drive on the correct side of the road please (not aimed at you Shaun) Can you keep us updated mate as this could help a few others that are hit by nutters.
-
Easy answer Tich, give up the Fags - just like I haven't. My 6 month old WRX has a non functunal cancer stick lighter also, but I just make sure there's a lichter in me pocket. Ps., the only fault with the car to date.
