4 Studs on different wheels, it was in for a service so can't recall how much just for fitting the studs but I imagine £100. Lesson learnt (the hard way as normal). I'm like you, I'll give things a bash but this seemed tricky and you have to be very careful with the ABS or it could end up costing a fortune.

John I had to replace some studs and nuts due to damage caused by locking nuts (long story). The studs are pennies but the fitting can be a pain in the ar$e due to the ABS so I took it to the dealers (ouch!!!! ). Once you have it all fixed invest in a decent torque wrench (the setting for the nuts are 88nm/65lb ft).

Thats one of the nicest non STI Bugeyes I've ever seen. I'm not a fan of white wheels but they suit the Mica Red really well. As for mudflaps I would suggest black Prodrive flaps as they are more discreet than others.

Didn't have a good look at your car mate, sorry. I have found Gav to be fair on what he offers and is the same as the price guide usually suggests. A trade in will always be less than a private sale but IMO takes the hassle out of selling, also the new Road Tax has hammered the used car market. Check the price guides would be my suggestion.

Thought about it myself but changed my mind. Keep them. When I was thinking of de-badging I wanted the oval star badge to replace the letters then found out the oval badge is attached with a pin so there must be a hole in the Hawkeyes boot. Quality. -

Popped over to Falkirk to book the car in for a service and noticed a couple of nice Hawkeyes in the showroom. A White one that looked mint and a GB270 Wagon that IMO looks better than the saloon GB270 (not to offend any GB270 saloon owners ).

The STI doesn't look great in red so visually the EVO won it. A few seconds here or there round a test track mean nothing to me (nor does the Top Gear opinion for that matter), looks first, everything else second IMO. Great episode though with the RS6 and Merc.
