  1. Hello and welcome mate.
  2. Hello and welcome mate.
  3. Looking great mate.
  4. When my car was up at Polished Bliss they told me that Subaru paint is hard but very thin. I would say 70 - 80 microns will be about average. Not good at all.
  5. craig - sorry to hear about all your problems. To be honest I've heard a lot of negative comments about Halleys not being helpful. I bought my car from Ian Grieves and they look after all the mechanical work, can't fault them at all.
  6. A mechanical service and a body service are 2 separate things. The old stonechip get out clause is expected. On all the new Imprezas I've owned I have got the 1st year body service done then just topped up the underseal, waxoyled the inside of the panels and checked all the drain holes myself. Body Service around £120, can of waxoyl and underseal around a tenner!!!
  7. Hello and welcome mate.
  8. Your car must have been registered the same time as mine. I might be wrong but I was sure the anti corrosion warranty was for 5 years but only if you have kept your Body Service schedule up to date. You haven't had the rear window / windscreen replaced? Never noticed rust in this area on any of my previous Imprezas.
  9. Gutted for you mate. Doesn't look too bad though.
  10. Hello and welcome mate.
  11. Hello and welcome mate. The car's looking mint. Enjoy.
  12. I owned a P1 for a year (not long, but long enough). First of all the looks are great and so to was the handling (firm and quite low - had to be very careful in multi storey car parks!) on the optional 18s. I had the Alcon brake conversion which was immense, can`t imagine how it would be on standard four pots (scary?). Bullet proof? I don`t think so, most are on new engines and my gearbox started leaking oil with 3rd and 4th needing replaced. I found driving at 30 a chore but once in its stride impeccable. Even doing 8k a year if you are going to go by the book then the service intervals are every 6 months. Like any tuned Impreza it will drink V Power like no ones business. I loved owning it, then when I bought the 03 STI I regretted selling it but when I got the 05 STI I knew I made the right choice and its my favourite Impreza to date. My advice would be to buy the lowest mileage, no more than 2 owners and standard or Prodrive options only. Good luck.
  13. Maybe just taking the Scooby Doo thing a bit too far..... but heh its your car mate.
  14. Hello and welcome. Any Scoob I've owned has been hesitant when cold, most probably the choke.
  15. Done the right thing as the PD settings can be harsh on the inner tread, best to go with Fast Road.
  16. What geometry settings did you get?
  17. I think WR Blue is the only colour that suits the gold wheels but that looks much better IMO.
  18. What does GFB stand for? What problems can occur with fitting a non standard DV to a standard car. I realise this whole DV thing can be open to debate but apart from the 'chav' noise thing what benefits can be had. I had a Forge one on my P1 (just for the noise to be honest ) and I felt the car to more jerky under acceleration.
  19. Best bet would be the dealers mate.
  20. Nice mileage for the age James.
  21. Seriously Colin the AeroBlades from the dealers are superb, a bit expensive but superb. I've had mine for around 2 years and are still going strong with no smearing.
  22. My warranty runs out in September also. I'm not taking the extended warranty but rather putting some money aside. I've owned the car from new and only covered 17k. Its never been hammered and always warmed up and cooled down. It got a good check over at the recent service and 2 rear shocks so I'm more than happy.
  23. What you guys like! You never get us 'detailing' boys arguing!!!!
  24. Bet Vin cannae wait!
  25. Looks great. Enjoy.
