  1. Out of curiosity what do all these handling mods do for a road car? Or is it more benefit for track days?
  2. Glad your happy with your new toy mate. Is SC Imports based in Torrance per chance?
  3. Looking good Colin, the wheels really suit your car.
  4. Hello and welcome mate.
  5. Looking great Gus. Is the colour Mica Red?
  6. Great pics guys, especially this one.
  7. Looking good.
  8. Great results there mate.
  9. The reason I asked this as there is a black plate behind the bumper where the number plate can be attached with plastic bolts. As for the gap I've owned 4 Scoobs (3 from new) and there has always been that gap.
  10. I thinks this has to be promoted more. Been on a couple of times but recently I've found its always empty (maybe you can see me coming and logout!!).
  11. Wow thats big writing! Is there still a Pentagon in Stirling?
  12. Is your number plate stuck on with sticky pads?
  13. C WRX (sorry don't know your name mate) I know alot of products to use but I'm afraid of using the machine polisher (should really buy one and practise on a scrap wing or something). Really I want the bodywork perfect then maintain it to that standard. As I said I'm doing everything by hand at the moment and achieving good results, with a perfect canvas all I want is to keep it that way, so that is the next step. Obviously a machine polish is the way to go and any advice from PB or Iain would be greatly received. Here's a few pics of my engine, taken a while ago but it doesn't get much dirtier than this (need to drive the car more me thinks!).
  14. Cheers mate. The pics were taken a couple of weeks ago Mark. Just gave it a quick wash on Sunday morn before I was talking to you.
  15. Looks mint mate, nice one.
  16. Great job Kevan. Were you using the machine polisher to get rid of swirls or purely for shine?
  17. Cheers mate. When I first considered changing my last Impreza I saw a picture of a Type 20 in Crystal Grey with the rear windows tinted and that was how I wanted mine. I'm one of those funny buggers who is very picky with who works on my car and after seeing my mates tints with loads of bubbles (that have still not disappeared) I quickly went off the idea. I've been wanting the Prodrive Grill for 2 1/2 years but I'm too scared to drill holes in the bumper! Don't even mention de-tango!!!!
  18. Cheers Iain, but I considered buying the Megs 220 then thought better of it. I've had the car booked in since March so don't want to let them down. I've noticed now a few members are using the machine polishers with great results. Trust me if I do get round to buying one you will be the first one I call. Thanks again for the generous offer.
  19. I like the Poorboys MF Cloths, very plush indeed. Iain do you ever use vinegar when washing your cloths? If so what exactly is the benefit?
  20. Cheers mate that means alot coming from a detailer like yourself. Noted about the extra coat of wax. Not brave enough for the Megs 220 yet. After claying the car I used Swissvax Cleaner Fluid then Saphir Wax which has 40% carnauba. Thanks for the comments guys. The car's going up to Polished Bliss in August to sort out a few minor imperfections, then its just a case of keeping on top if it after that.
  21. Not the greatest of pics that I took a few weeks back but thought I'd post them anyway. Tried to capture the reflections on the bodywork which looked really good in the metal considering the colour. All done by hand using Swissvax products. Comments welcome. Cheers for looking. Colin
  22. I think Petter backed off at the end as well as he definitely wanted to finish. I agree, roll on Finland to see if the speed is there and Germany to see how it really looks in Tarmac form.
  23. Its as good as a win consindering the luck Petter has had. (I put it down to the unreliable Hawkeye eh John )
  24. Too good to be true!
