Yep, that looks like good prices (especially the TMIC - cant find it on their website though - was it a one off?) Might pushing it to ask the missus for the stuff as xmas pressies though! Was the VF34 turbo ported and polished or left as std? I have had yes and no answers to this question by others. Sorry for all the questions, I had a remap done on my TD04 earlier this year, but now ive sorted out the handling and braking, want more!!!

Thinking of doing the next stage aswell to my 2.5 WRX, did Hypertech source the bits for you too ie. intercooler and turbo as well as fit them, have got a few bits on already ie. decat and plugs.

Yep, lol when I read it back to myself. The pug is the comfort car I use for going up country, building sites and to work and probably going to be in the snow too. Il try asking a few of the local young kids too.

Hi Guys, Anyone in the Moray area had expreience faffing about with rear suspension on pug 306's. The rear setup has worn on my pug (leans to one side - a lot!) and rather than repair it ive got hold of a complete rear assembly from another, only problem is that it has been lowered 60mm / 2 splines? (too low, i know, getting old). Does any one know how to adjust the torson bars to bring it back up, by one 1 spline (30mm)?. Seemingly it was all adjusted last yeaar, so should be easy enough to remove and adjust bits? Il have the assmebly on my trailer so can take it round anywhere for someone to have a go (and knows what they are doing!)

Would it be more down to the profile size, 225/40 down to 215/35 is quite a big change? My boss has 35 profile tyres on his Civic Type R, loves the looks but hates the drivng, too light on the steering wheel, skittish, just no confidence, think he wishes he stuck with the OEM wheel / tyre setup.

Yep, the EDFC is great fun, 3 memory settings, ive got "family" soft mode, medium "fun road" mode and "solid" mode! Thats my names for them anyway. Cant fault the Teins in any way.

I agree, AWD perth all the way.

Home made! Couldnt find an all black one that covered the whole of the lower grill (including the black plastic bit).
-
Hi and welcome. Was a previous owner of 2 n/a Sports too (classic and newage), still great cars, but you will want more soon enough!!! lol!
-
Yep, seemingly owes Dingbro a fair few bob! The likes of them and even Subaru themselves have up to the morn to put their repossesion claims in but have to provide evidence but so far no major claims put in from them.
-
Yep, pretty much. One Impreza was equipped with Nos which didnt look safe to be honest. The early M reg one at the front (lot 8) didnt seem to bad, but I wasnt as"eagle eyed" as others. I had my eye on the Legacy TBH, but looking again, the clocks/dials etc. had STI logos on them, is that right? As for the other cars, no idea on them. The Celica (although pretty ordinary) looked ok, but puddles of various oils underneath (engine/gearbox) put me off that. And a few automatics which is just a no no for me. The Honda Acura looked ok, but again dont really know much about them. Didnt realise actually how physically big a Supra is though!

Yep, there was The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. The Good were outnumbered though! Just too many things different (some minor, some major) on various cars that didnt add up to original cars or even what some were claimed to be!

Not far from those figures, Just checked, 335mm at front, 345mm at rear. Think I might try another 5 to 10mm at most. At the moment still clears the speed bumps on Elgin High Street!

Bit rare to come by the Vredesteins, more so with the Ultrac's (as opossed to the Sportracs), should wear pretty good ive been told, even John at Progrip rated them highly.
-
Yeh, think I will go with waist spoiler, one on ebay the now too. Jut looks a bit "naked" at the rear without it. More so coz I had a classic wagon which had both spoilers before (just a sport though).
-
Chuffed to bits and gave a car a reasonably good clean today, Firslty, new(ish) Tein Adjustable Coilvers with EDFC controller thingy (great fun by the way!) fitted, with help and bought from Toby69, which inlvolved a full suspension change on his driveway in under 90 mins!!! Second, down to Bonnybridge to see John at Progrip, and in an hour car was fully adjusted, his own fast road settings put on and what a result, amazing handling! Lastly, some new treads all round, Vredestein Ultracs, 4 for £200, fitted and balanced (one off price / deal though), fantastic tyre, and deepest tread I have eaver seen on a tyre, and with full Silica compound should be great in the wet! A few pics, should I go a bit lower? and im still thinking about the lower waist spoiler at rear? After that, its back onto the Engine, the wee TD04 is mapped to its limit, VF34 and big TMIC is on the Xmas list!

Looks familar?! PS. No hanging about getting the bits and fitting it then!

If you want to pop out to mine il give you a hand to fit it. I fitted mine by backing the car into the garage with the front overhanging, laid a towel down and gave plenty of room to get underneath. Free all day today. Plus il show what the wagon can do now with the coilovers fitted, Progrip alingment done and fresh Vredestein tyres fitted all round!

No. 2 for me, I like the idea of the driving lights at the upper front grill (even if they do stick out a bit), just says your set to drive - no matter the weather or time of day! Plus I used to like them on my folks old xr3i's. The rectangluar ones just dont look right to me.
-
What about Vredesteins, not many people talk about them but damn good tyre, dry, wet and for wear. I noticed a good difference going from OEM Bridgestones to them. Think there was a post about them a few month ago.
-
Where are progrip located? Looks like ive got a deal with Toby for his Tein coilovers. I might hold of fitting them for a while, til I get a set of black 18's I have my eye on.

You can get original Subaru ones from fleabay, used them myself. Although Halfrauds dont have the paint on the shelf they will make you up a tin to use (both spray and brush). seemed to be a good enough match when i done my splitter.

As the title says, any reccomendations who to go to in and / or around the Moray area for coilover fitment and setup? Dont want to go to GT Tyres again, the guy was really off with me and wouldnt put on the fast road settings, he just made sure I was within Subarus own tolerances (which are massive). Do Japerformance do that kind thing? Or do I play it safe and go down to Hypertech (heard nothing but excellent things for them)? Thoughts and opinions please?

Il need to scan my graph in at some point. It just looked so different to everyones elses that I seen anyway! Even IainC's 2.5 STI Hawkeye graph was different. Most people seemed to have their torque and bhp follow each other up the graph as opposed to mine, where the torque was starting to trail off and bhp was still on the rise til about 5700rpm. Already strated looking for bigger, better (even STI) TMIC, any suggestions appreciated.

Peaked at 19psi at 3200rpm then hangs around the 17/18psi mark til about 4700rpm then starts to fall (the poor wee TD04 run out off puff by then!) TBH, Im happy with that, If im gunning it tend to change up a gear around 5400rpm, so not needing an overly bigger turbo to suit me. Even considering Andy F's hybrid TD04 which is meant hold boost that bit longer and I do love the early / quick spool up of the TD04's!
