Yep - they do have up-pipes - just don't have a cat in them.

Been offered the attached sti uppipe for £25 delivered. Could someone have a look and confirm that it looks like a Sti uppipe? Cheers! Richard.

Have to say though that the help I got from Andy to get signed up was excellent

I signed up last week and could post straight away. However, no emails welcoming me to the club (surely easy to set-up an autosend!) and no idea when True Grip or the Membership card will be sent out. Wouldn't take much to tighten things up a bit.

Yep - mine arrived an hour ago - very slick looking mag

Nightmare! - glad you managed to control the car.

Still waiting for the little one to arrive. Due date was yesterday and Sally has been having various twinges and early contractions since Wednesday but will waiting on it to really kick off.

No paint correction work - though I was expecting that to have been needed. Amazing what elbow grease, clay bar, polish and wax will do! As to the products - sample can be found here: http://www.proshine.co.uk/car-valeting-products.htm He had a massive array with him. Richard.

Had my Scooby and the wifes Megane valeted by Iain at Proshine (http://www.proshine.co.uk). What an amazing job and result! The attention to detail and the amount of work Iain puts into it was above and beyond First time I've ever had a car valeted and won't be the last now. Richard.

Great news My wife is due our second this month as well - sleepless nights ahead for us both!

Benn having problems with losing air from my tyres - see post here on Snet Scoobynet Thread "Take to a decent backstreet tyre place, get them to take the tyres off, rub down the inside of the rims , seal it, replace tyres and Bob's your uncle. Its usually crap and bits of rubber etc building up on the inside of the wheel that stops the tyre sitting properly. My car did it about a year ago - did the above and no probs since." Any suggested garages around Stirling or Edinburgh that could help with cleaning the rims? Cheers Richard.

Horriffic!! Glad you've not been more seriously hurt. I can't stand those little w*nkers who act like that. I'd be tempted to get a large group of us, cruise round till we find them and then kick the sh*t out of them and their car. Richard.

Great - thanks guys

Went to the Knockhill Rally Experience today - what a great half day Are there any other Rally day outs in Scotland - perhaps with more driving? Is there a forrest course down in Dumfries? Cheers Richard.

That's a shitty part of the road to get done on. Same thing happened to me 5 years ago at the same spot - though it was 10:30pm at night and I didn't realise it was a 50 so when the police car was behind me I accelerated to get past a car and, in my mind, let the police through - but no, they were tailgating me and stuck with me when I pulled over and on came the lights. Thankfully I was only doing 64 - so only got the 3 points and fixed fine. I think you're right, 6 points and a fine. Not sure what it will add to the insurance, possibly not that much given that speeding points are so common these days. Best of luck though. Richard.

I've got a problem with my pelvis that makes the bucket seats in my bugeye wagon hurt with any sort of distance driving (and I do a fair amount of work related driving). Rather than sell the car on I was thinkin about swapping the buckets for the 'sports' seats. I'm pretty sure when I test drove the bugeye when it first came out the car I drove didn't have buckets but had normal seats. Could someone confirm that you could choose either? Ta. If you can get non-bucket seats for the WRX, then any recommendations of breakers in Scotland I could phone to find out - or anyone on here have a spare set or want to swap for my buckets? Cheers Richard.

Grills were on it when I bought the wagon - they do look good though [H] Thanks again to everyone for the recommendations. -
Tracking, wheel balancing and geometry set-up near Stirling?

Based around Stirling. Got a MY01 Wagon - front and rear Whiteline droplinks, rear Whiteline ARB, Prodrive backbox, decat centre and an AndyF remap. Pics below from the chap I bought it off 18 months ago. Had a MY99 classic before that (until 2002). Richard. -

Superb - thanks guys [Y] -
Hi folks I've got a slight judder through the wheel - especially when the tyres are cold - so looks like I need tracking/wheel balancing done - perhaps with getting the geometry set-up as well. Any recommendations for a garage near Stirling/Falkirk that would do that? What sort of ball park cost would it be? Cheers Richard.

I got my droplinks and ARB replaced just before Xmas as well and the difference is huge. Highly recommended.

Just been out for a blast round the back roads and I know I'm sounding like a stuck record but I can't believe the difference in my car - it's not only the huge amount of additional and effortless power but it's how smooth the car now is - makes me feel like I was driving a bag of nails before! Even my wife took it out today and commented on how much smoother and tuned it now feels. Richard.

Yes, I must admit that I had it on the performance map on the way home just to enjoy the car though I can see myself using the economy/reduced boost map a lot as I do around 25k miles a year work related. The 'only' thing I've now got left to change on the car is getting the pads replaced, along with a new set of rubber all round. Hopefully then the expense might stop for a few months! Richard.

Just back home and what a difference Sitting on the motorway in 5th and previously when I put my foot down it did nothing but now it just keeps pulling - so much better to drive and the power delivery is silky smooth through the gears. Very sweet. Richard.
