  1. Well, the time has eventually come round and I'm spending the morning with Andy F tomorrow to get my MY01 wagon remapped. Going for a duel-map set-up so I can have better economy on my business/work trips and a performance map for fun times Really looking forward to it as the bugeye has never felt anywhere near as rapid as my old classic (though that did have a John Banks Tek2.5 remap). Richard.
  2. Didn't really notice much in the way of noise change - though the tone might have modified a bit - certainly isn't any louder. Tyres and geometry set-up next (probably just into the new year). Whiteline gear has made a huge difference though (especially as my oem droplinks were knackered). Got the ARB set on the middle setting - so still got the stiffest one to move to later. Richard.
  3. Had steel droplinks and a 22mm ARB fitted yesterday to my bugeye - along with a decat centre pipe from Gus. What an amazing difference it's made to the handling - car just feels so tight now and the decat has added some more ommph. Very happy chappie Richard.
  4. Thanks John and Criag.
  5. Thanks for the recommendations chaps. What do they actually do/change when doing the geometry set-up? Richard.
  6. What does a geo set-up actually do for the car? (getting droplinks and ARB fitted this Friday to my bugeye). Recommendations for who's best to do this in Central Scotland and rough prices? Cheers Richard.
  7. Thanks Stephen - I guessed it would be fairly short - these things always seem to be - shame though! I suppose using your own car will mean a lot more track time. Time to consider getting a cheap car for track days!
  8. I can see a decat and Andy F remap coming next year as it is!
  9. Thanks guys. Currently leaning towards the Rally one. Stephen - how much actual driving time did you get with it?
  10. Hi folks I'm keen on doing one of the £135 options at Knockhill and was looking for any recommendations (i.e. is the rally experience best or seat/single seater, etc). I'm not that keen on taking my own Scooby round (can't afford the new tyres and brakes!) - so the drive your own car options are out. Cheers Richard.
