  1. Sad news - but poor of them to take orders and funds when they knew they were going down. That's a big no no.
  2. Very very nice! Looks superb with the black rims.
  3. Ever since I replaced the up-pipe on my bugeye with a STi one the CEL warning lights keeps staying on. Duncan at Hypertech fitted a 2.2K ohm (we think) resistor but the light keeps coming back on again. Duncan has checked the warning and it is from the EGT probe. I asked Andy F if he could turn it off ni the ECU but whilst he can write out the lambda sensor in the software, the EGT probe is actually a failed sensor warning and he can't remove that. Pity. Duncan didn't solder the resistor on - so I think I could do with replacing the resistor with a new one and get it soldered on. Anyone out there got a spare 2.2K ohm resistor and a soldering iron that's willing to help out? Cheers Richard.
  4. I live in Dunblane and had Ian from Proshine come up from Edinburgh to do my two cars - amazing job and good price. Highly recommended.
  5. How long do the wheels take to get done? I'm looking to get mine done but don't have a spare set around to swap over whilst they are getting refurbished. Do that have a same day service? Cheers Richard.
  6. I've got a 01 bugeye and currently running 306bhp with: Engine: Decat centre STi up-pipe - ported STi PPP Sports cat downpipe STi 500cc pink injectors A set of cold NGK PFR7B plugs A VF35 turbo A Walbro Fuel Pump 255 Samco turbo to intercooler 'Y' pipe Ported and wrapped headers Replacement filter AndyF remap Suspension: Whiteline front & rear droplinks Whiteline rear ARB I bought the Sti parts second hand and had it all fitted by Duncan at Hypertech. I did have a Prodrive backbox too (for sale if anyone is interested) but wanted the car nice a quiet for handsfree motorway phone useage, so changed back to the standard backbox. Richard.
  7. Didn't make the Open Day but I've found AWD to be excellent in the past when I've used them and anyone I've met through SIDC has been very welcoming. Certainly worth the OP giving another meet a chance. Richard.
  8. The next issue is due to be sent out this week or next. There was a post about it this week from the publisher on SN.
  9. Hi Paul - very welcome here
  10. Nice one guys!
  11. Noise-wise, how does the blobeye backbox compare to the bugeye backbox? Reason I ask is that the backbox (peashooter) on the classic was quieter than the backbox on the bugeye. Or at least I thought it was when I changed from my MY99 to the MY01. Thanks again. Richard.
  12. Superb - thanks guys!
  13. Would a standard backbox from 03 (blobeye) fit a 01 (bugeye)? Cheers Richard.
  14. Yep - he's got a new STi in blue - saw it in the flesh when I was in yestersday. Lovely machine.
  15. That is horrific! Good on them though
  16. Thanks guys - it really is a different car now. On full boost it's a bit scary at times!
  17. Just had all my mods fitted this week by Duncan and another remap by Andy this morning. Now running 306bhp and 298 ft lbs. What a difference, the VF35 just doesn't run out of puff! Andy thinks I would have got around the 330 mark with a full decat, but decided to stick with the Prodrive Sportscat for MOT time. Now running: Prodrive back-box Custom decat centre STi up-pipe - ported STi PPP Sports cat downpipe STi 500cc pink injectors A set of NGK PFR7B plugs A VF35 turbo A Walbro Fuel Pump 255 Turbo to intercooler 'Y' pipe Ported and wrapped headers Replacement filter Still need to get a resistor for the emissions sensor, since the Sti up-pipe doesn't have a slot for the WRX sensor to fit into. Happy boy though and what a difference the jump from 250bhp to 300bhp is - lovely stuff Richard.
  18. Superb news!!
  19. Superb looking engine bay
  20. Had one remap done by him last year and well pleased. Plan on seeing him again in December for another remap once I've fitted a VF35, decat up-pipe, sports downpipe, TMIC, pink injectors, uprated fuel pump and cooler plugs. Should be looking at around 330 but need to be careful as I'm running standard WRX gearbox and clutch!
  21. I've recently been looking at Downpipes and from what I gather, the original Ninja decat pipe is good but the sports cat isn't that hot. I was recommended to look at the STi PPP sports cat DP, TSL Thundercat or H&S integrated sports cat DP. With the later type prodrive one (Sti PPP sports cat) the best to probably try and get. Took me around just over a week to source a STi Prodrive sports cat DP secondhand. It's 12 months old and is costing me £225 delivered. Richard.
  22. Handy diagram - thanks
  23. Fair enough though as I didn't say it was for a new age
