  1. Well, we may have been limited to only three cars but overall plenty of action and a good day.
  2. That's me sorted, I'll make it along Saturday Al, we could covoy up
  3. I may manage the Saturday if I get a shift change but won't know til later into next week for sure.
  4. Done, we aim to please. But I'm standing by the sentiment of how a small minority can spoil it for the rest and needn't turn up.
  5. As there are now two threads about this in different sections please follow the link to the one in the Events section instead of posting here. Link to Events
  6. I suppose I should add this was rumour but the point I was making is those who know me and my job perspective know I'm never gonna be in the lead group and generally asume the role of tail end Charlie. Anyhoo, I'll double check things and see which weekend will suit me best now my missus is working some weekends too.
  7. When I suggested this I was working shifts with every weekend off. Unfortunately, I'm back on a new shift pattern which has me working most weekends again. Last month I had no weekends off and this month I only have two - 17&18 and 24&25 Sept. Anyhoo, if anyone's interested on either of those weekends I'll look into it.
  8. Always good when it's an easy fix I had a similar problem a few months back and couldn't find the problem until I took the intercooler off and found the following damaged and leaking pipe hidden at the bottom of the turbo.
  9. Mine came with the car done by a braver man than I. Anyhoo, let's know how ya get on Dave and remember to post the obligatory before and after pic's
  10. Welcome aboard mate. I'm up Inverness way from time to time so will keep an eye out for ya.
  11. May help if you post details of your car/age/model and the turbo fitted etc. I'm far from an expert but the TD04 on my old car was running up to 1.2bar, I think on low boost with a remap and a bit more on high. I believe the VF35 on my current car is similar and is somewhere about 1.6bar at full whack. I'm sure once folk know what you're running someone on the know will pipe up with the info.
  12. You're nae wrong and sad to say I believe I actually remember that
  13. Cheers I was staying in Drymen a couple of weeks back and pretty much drove most of that route home, Loch Lomond- Glencoe- Fort William- Inverness- Fochabers. Nothing set as yet for September as I'll need to check my shifts for the first couple of weeks in Septmeber closer to the time. My mate posted a link on MLR in a 'run to Aplecross' thread and has a few takers too, so may be a joint venture if folks can get their head round the notion and play nice.
  14. Cheers for the positive comments. This wasn't set out to be a 'run' as such, more a couple of mates filling in a Sunday that got carried away. First choice was to run Elgin to Mallaig, via Aviemore and Fort William, then take the ferry across to Armadale and up to Elgin via Kyle of Lochalsh, Inverness etc. Unfortunately, a lack of time and the extra cost put pay to that this time.
  15. With the Moray area grey and overcast on Sunday past (24/07/11), my MLR mate and I decided the only chance we had of seeing the sun was for a wagons west run. So with a successful run up and around Ullapool back in April already in the bag we opted for a pilgrimage to Applecross and the Bealach na Ba pass. As forecast, once west of Inverness the sun did indeed come out and a great time was had by all, well both of us anyhoo. Managed to get a load of pic's so here are the highlights. We're planning another run but it'll probably be into September if anyone's interested. I'l post it in events with pleanty of warning closer to the time.
  16. Good figures mate , had mine done in April and still loving the results.
  17. Cheers Dave, given the nature of the event I think they're happy for any support. Hope you can make it but if not I'll be setting about the place with a camera.
  18. Not sure yet, I'll be away and not back until late Saturday.
  19. Well, that's it membership just renewed. So, not going over old ground but after a few months lurking in the shadows the call of the scoob lured me back. So, in a bid to get right back into things I've signed myself up for a local Moray car show tomorrow. I know all very 11th hour but whether alone or otherwise SIDC will have representation. Anyone who can and wants to join me check this link to the events section.
  20. I have these on and can't fault them. Graeme, Please excuse my ignorance if I should know but I'd be interested in your thoughts behind on running at higher pressures as I've got them at stock just now. Cheers, Pete
  21. Well done Blair for taking on the RO role, especially as I'm sure it's sometimes be seen as 'one of those things someone else does'. Obviously, I've know Dale a good while and we have supported each other here and there and attended each others meets etc. Hopefully we'll be able to cacth up at a meet sometime and compare notes
  22. I've had BC's on my car for 9 months now and really like them. I played about with the settings until I found ones that suited me. A bit softer than some others have and recommend but maybe the rural roads I drive on are a bit worse than elsewhere. Had a full 4 wheel alignment set up done with camber bolts and near Prodrive geo settings too which also helps. I say near Prodrive as I didn't go quite as far with the neg camber, somewhere between standard and Prodrive but on the Prodrive side if that makes sense.Anyhoo, I have few pic's of the car since they were fitted but here goes, should give an indication of ride height. Was lower but damaged my splitter and had to raise 10mm all round. This was when I was thinking of changing my wheels and put the stock ones back on. Then there was this once I changed my mind and I put the other wheels back on.
  23. Found this a while ago... Introducing the - Ford Mondeo Ghia Ecosse Ghia 1.8i 16V
  24. Ok, that's the SIDC Moray Scoobies Facebook page up and running and linked to SIDC Scottish Scoobies. Local members can get the pride and joy psoted in our 'members cars' album, while others can have their's in the 'guest garage'. There is also an album for 'blasts from the past' where members can show their gone but not forgotten motors. Any issues with photo's just let me know and you can send them to me for posting. Thee are a few bits and pieces on there but if feel free to make suggestions as tbh I'm new to Facebook and haven't even got my own pages sorted out yet.
  25. Cheers dave, got full access now and will add a few bits and bobs over the next few days.
