  1. Hi Alan,Sounds like you've done a bit of research so that's a good start and having done the practice test you shouldn't find any surprises. I'd just say that the test and fitness are there for initial 'weeding' purposes as there's generally more applicants than vacancies and they have to start cutting somewhere. If you're successful at these stages they'll secure you an interview which will be more of a make or break for you. I've been in the job 20 years now and would be happy to give you a few ideas for preparation should you move on to an interview. All the best Pete
  2. Any joy yet? I emailed Andy on 5th May and received a reply today (20th) with an apology for the delay, so still out there.
  3. Having a custom centre pipe made up for this to join the Prodrive and the 3" Kakumei Megaflow downpipe.
  4. Totally different - bit more lag then the power thumps in and we have warp speed, silver WRX had smoother and more progressive power delivery. The steering is sharper too. Handling is similar but I did miss the Whiteline alloy drop links on the Skye trip, that said I've a shiny new kit sitting waiting to be fitted.Oh and have I mentioned it's louder, much, MUCH LOUDER!! Got a Prodrive back box on the way so should have a Blitz Nur spec up for grabs soon.
  5. Cheers Dave.Cheers Dave. See what I did there? Posted up a few more pic's here Doom Mobile
  6. Cheers mate, can't take too much credit as most was done by previous owner.Styling wise I've fitted the new black mesh grills, wheels and front splitter - and of course my own WRC VRM. I'm now keenly awaiting the arrival of a Prodrive back box to replace the Biltz Nur Spec R that's on it just now - sounds cool but just way too loud for me. Also looking at a hi-flow sports cat as it's currently 3" full de-cat. After that, I'll be looking for a tweaking remap from AndyF and will see what's best with regard to keeping the HKS DV and Blitz Suction Induction kit. Oh, it's fitted with a Perrin Anti lift lit and I've got a Whiteline alloy drop link kit ready to go on. A few other bits and pieces but haven't got everything listed yet.
  7. After 3 years great years with my first Scoob, a silver Bugeye WRX it was time to move on. Put the old girl on Pistonheads and within 19 hours she was away.... a mere 6 weeks later and here we are. Haven't got the full mod inventory sorted yet but currently mapped at 351 bhp / 350 lb-ft
  8. Welcome aboard form another black blobeye sti owner
  9. This afternoon in Elgin while out in the new black Doom mobile... - grey Hawkey spec D - Tesco roundabout - green Classic wagon - near Halfords entrance - and SmilerAS in Rav4 guise
  10. Fit like Wayne, you got somewhere to stay yet?
  11. Aye, saw it in Buckie this afternoon looking good. Was in me missus' Astra but light at end of tunnel as pick up my new Scoob this Friday after about a month without one.
  12. The only apparent plus for Black Diamond Predator pads was they were virtually dust free compared to most.
  13. Nice one I sold mine a couple of weeks ago and have the shakes now... but should have a similar post to throw up in a few weeks time all things going to plan.
  14. My tuppence worth - RIP Tesco 99. A couple of months ago I realised the new Tesco store at Keith had the 99 stuff, and much cheaper to boot than V-Power. I switched and almost immediately noticed the car was occasionally spluttering and had noticeable flat spots. Thought it may just need time for a few tank loads to go through the pipes, so did that and even threw in a bottle of Millers - no difference at all. Got fed up with it and recently switched back V-Power and by the second tank all was well and back to smooth running. FYI I've a bugeye WRX with add-ons and AndyF remap. Obviously may just be me or my car but can't see me going back to Tesco 99 unless the V-Power pumps are dry.
  15. Aye aye Rich, Nah mate didna see ya. Was heading home early, should have been on till 4pm but I got away early. I did see a blue bugeye at Pansport roundabout and got a sort of wave. Thought it may have been Tommo at first till I spied it had the wrong wheels. Speaking of wheels, saw ya post and cars lookin' cool, especially with those mean looking wheels on . Got to hand it to ya, full marks for effort, I can't be bothered making that kind of effort at this time of year. It's just that vicious circle of wash, clean, polish, move from drive to street and the cars as bad as it started. You'll see I stuck a reply under yours in the Meet thread, so I'll see ya there and catch up then. Cheers, Pete
  16. Some gems in there and my mates thought so too.
  17. But If ya nae sure get hold of RO Al's mob number and ya could give him a buzz to find out the crack and where we are if ya running late. I'm kinda in the same boat, heading to Pitlochry tomorrow and back Sat morning. That said planning the trip to be back in time for the meet, so hopefully no hold ups on the way.
