  1. Nice looking car Certainly a bit different style wise, Although, the black splitter is not for me I'd prefer it colour coded, the Spoiler looks ok though...
  2. Well how much did it fail by mate, because If it was only a short trip to the MOT station, then the Cat might not have been hot enough to be working efficiently... I've heard before, that before you put it through the MOT give the car a good blast over the back roads before putting it in then test it... and it should pass...
  3. Boooo!!!! Thats a Shame Billy... Could you not beat it down mate...
  4. hAHAHA thats Classy!
  5. As some of you know, I got some stuff stolen recently, and as a result, I needed to get my locks changed in the car... So, as I've been chatting to Tim From AutoEcosse in Broughty Ferry, I thought that I'd give them a whirl... And I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the service. from the First time that I called in, and spoke to Peter, I got good friendly service, no hassle, the parts were ordered and my car was booked in within a couple of days, no problems. So I got the car there on Thursday morning, early on, booked in, and the work was only going to take a few hours, so I took the opportunity to go in and have a Chat with Tim, Who is the general manager. Really nice to sit and have a chat about the business and the club. Tim is not from the motering industry originally, and customer service is his big thing. On leaving however, I noticed that a bit of trim was flapping, and it seems that one of the clips had broken off when the work was being carried, out, but as soon as I pointed it out, they were happy to get a new part out to me. And it was with me in 2 days! I was well happy! (was an easy to clip in part) Just for anyone who doesn't know, they do 10% off parts and labour, when you join their loyalty club, which is free, and you cant argue with that! So all in all, I'm happy with my experience, and I'll happily use them again!
  6. It's in Progress... Oh, WHAT????????? I also hope your talking about the Original, and are vowing to never ever watch the remakes... Direct From Corgi mate http://www.corgi.co.uk/

  8. Just arrived the other day... (Colin Mcrae's Mini from the West of Scotland Autotest Championship) Had to take the pic with my phone... Still... One down, 13 more to go! The rest are being released over the Next 2 years though, that's a fair crack to wait... Think the Talbot Sunbeam and one of the 2 Sierras are still to come in 2009!
  9. Bloody hell mate! Bad luck seems to follow you dunnit! Cant help on the Clutch issue mate, sorry, but I hope you get it sorted soon!
  10. Based on 93p per litre... Basic Break down, its a little out of date, but if you add on another couple of pence to the duty, it shouldn't be so far off.... just shows how much your being raped by the Gov... taxed twice on the same product, how can that possibly be legal...? and in fact, you pay more tax than you do for the product itself... in that model, 66p in tax, Vs. 26p for the product... I mean, really?
  11. Yeah, but then also, there is a certain amount of greed on the part of the oil companies too, but your right, its the government that are putting the boot in right here - right now...
  12. I agree, they are using the drivers of Britan to prop up the british economy...
  13. Ah Piss! I meant to get Petrol last night too! Its not tonight mate, it was LAST NIGHT that it went up... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/8230918.stm
  14. Yeah thats right about the 3 points, the first 3 on your license don't really mean anything to the insurance companies, you may see a slight increase, but nothing major... Beyond that though... Different story...
  15. Sorry for the Diversion, but I have a question about the Aussie rules... Whats an illegal mod over there then? Sounds a bit crap if thats the case... Fair Coming on Peter, but how long is it going to be on the road for this time mate??? Interested to see it running though...
  16. Bad Luck, but they get us all at one time or another, and its often because of dirty tricks, although, might be worth checking on it as You never know, I've had at least one that was followed up by a letter of appology from Taysides cock munching finest... The don't like to admit it, but they do make mistakes, and I'm sure that theres strict rules about angles to the traffic and the likes... Still, think your self lucky, points are bad, but getting banned is worse...
  17. Well Dunk all the cameras on the A90 wont go off till like 82... or something like that, but I also believe that your speedo has to be wrong on the side of caution... Best way to tell is to get a GPS based device to check how far out your speedo is...
  18. I'll be interested to see the Graphics, It'll be something different certainly to the normal SWRT graphics... Also, Have you posted pics, I'll be honest and Say that I've not looked in the other thread about changing up cars for ages, so I dont know if theres pics in there...
  19. Actually, when I'm driving through town at night, on union street mainly, or near a lot of drunk people, I do tend to have my doors locked... To many unpredictable monkeys on the go to take the chance...
  20. Ah all the high class newspapers then... Dont think that we get real radio up here, think thats a central belt thing...? Well theres a lot of people in the central belt that never heard of it... Surprised that you never posted up about it? Yeah, know what you mean Al, but then it was printed in the Daily racist! its not a hugely popular paper up here... I wouldn't have made it, but it was only a fine line of a few days that i missed it by, and I would have travelled for it... yeah, Weekly papers are pretty rubbish for things like that! lol I've never seen anyone read the local free papers!
