  1. Hi folks,

I need to get my rear wheel arch's rolled as I've just wrecked the rear sidewalls of my Toyo's :(

Drove through to Abz today with 4 folk in the car and I kept scuffing on any bumps.

I think I have just convinced myself that I need to strip the rear of the car as it is not much use carrying people in the back.

Where can I go to have the arch's rolled? Preferably in the east of Scotland.

Has anyone had this done in their classic before?

  2. Aye you'll need to stiffen the rear if your doing the front.

22mm or 24mm adjustable rear ARB

    22mm fixed front ARB

front & rear droplinks wire or solid

that will make a big difference to the handling of the car after a geometry setup.

All depends what you want to spend, whether you go 22mm rear or the beefier 24mm, and whether you want the solid droplinks or wire.

If your purchasing from cusco kid or AWD then I could pick the kit up for you, as you know I'm always up & down the road anyway :(

  3. Al your on the right lines there. Its all to do with the additives that are put into the petrol before it leaves the refineries.

The way I see it is, what does tesco know about fuel additives compared to an oil company!?!

Any of the lads that have worked at BP grangemouth care to comment on this?

  4. Just typical that last night I get a knock spike of 61, I seen a flash on the dash which I can only assume was the CEL blipping as it went over 60 for a split second.

Gave the car a good blast today in all gears and knock levels were fine, think 16 was my highest this morning.

Hopefully mine was just a stray noise that the apexi had picked up.

Its always worth a quick glance to see what your normal knock levels are, then you can determine when knock is starting to show signs of a problem developing.

I'm going to continue driving mine like I normally do and just monitor the knock, like I said, hopefully I just had a wee spike last night.

  5. Cheers cullenmin,it's not often the weave shows through in photos but the photographer has done a cracking job, chuffed to bits with the reflection too :D

I would love carbon mirrors theres a group buy going on over at aberdeen scoobies but funds don't allow it just now, hopefully in the future.

I got mine from ebay international, all the way from hong kong. Good quality items and I got them for a good price. I'll PM you the ebay seller if your interested, throw in a low offer and you never know. I believe the scoobynet CF mirrors werent as good as they thought, modification needed to fit flush etc so watch out because there is some crap examples out there.

  6. Great to hear you have sorted this out.

I have just had the BC coilovers fitted to my Type R and it has totally transformed the handling of the car. I had V6 RA suspension fitted before and I thought that was quite firm suspension but now its a totally different driving experience. Car feels firmer, turns in quicker, has a whole load less roll (and I'm still on standard roll bars). I'd highly recommend these BC coilovers, especially at half the price of tein's. Group buy on scoobynet is still running, worth a look mate if you were thinking of replacing yours :D
