  1. Think its probably a no - used to go to St Marys Bay which is in the same area and I'm pretty certain that dogs were banned from the beach from May to September. Cheers, thought that might be the case. I was trying to talk the wife into coming along with the dogs but looks like I'll be on my own now.
  2. Does anybody know if you can take dogs onto the beach?
  3. About 9.10pm last night, turning left from Hayes Lane towards Bromley. Blue WRX, with a number plate of L99 (can't remember the last bit). Sounded SWEET! Looked nice and clean as well.
  4. Happy Birthday, enjoy the sunshine and I'll see you tomorrow.
  5. Errr....flywheel? [*-)] [:$]
  6. Errr....flywheel?
  7. Just put a new sidelight bulb in, but guess most people here are ok with that so needn't bother with a tutorial. There'll be something along soon though lol A sidelight bulb you say......tell me more. [8-|]
  8. I overhead Granby and Hol giving a lecture on this very subject last Friday at Notcutts. Now I'm not in any way technical but here's a rough run down lol. These pulleys are the ones that sit at the front of the engine around which that long black rubbery belty thingy goes......with me so far? You whip these off - not easy apparently if you look at Tonys comments - and replace with lightweight ones. Now, because they're lighter, they turn easier hence less resistance and as a consequence you're using less of the power generated by the engine to turn them - more power available to drive the car along, better pick-up etc. However, because they're lighter they provide less engine braking when you're slowing down. Here endeth todays lesson in automotive technology and now I await being shot down or corrected. It seemed to make sense last Friday lol That actually makes sense and I've no idea what goes on underneath that metal bit with the scoop in it! I've read Tonys experiences and have decided that it's definitely not a job for me.
  9. Don't wish to sound silly but what on earth are these pulley things you all buy?
  10. Mmm....that article hasn't exactly got my heart racing. Sounds a bit dull.
  11. Wrong colour and its a wagon............apart from that, welcome to Kent Scoobies lol nothing wrong with silver wagons Barry [] HERE HERE!!! And welcome to KS! Welcome mate. Silver wagons rock! Had mine PPP'd a few months ago and love it. I know that there are plenty of other mods available but for peace of mind it's a good start. Hope to see you soon.
  12. [] I love it! That's the funniest thing I've seen in ages.
  13. We have got to do another one soon! Anything in the pipeline?
  14. I can't see the type 25 in that [*-)] I'm sure it's there somewhere, you just have to look very closely. []
  15. I agree, them mats were a disgrace [N] I agree too!! Everytime I got in the car I kept thinking "I really should hoover those mats" and then it would rain and I wouldn't get around to it.

  24. Having spent hours cleaning my car I did fancy a run out but I've just had to spark the BBQ up so no can do I'm afraid.
  25. Finally went to Halfords today to buy some car cleaning products only to discover that the 3 for 2 offer had finished. [:'(]. Anyhow, I took the advice from Granby and Leebo and bought a lambswool mit and I also bought a Meguaires drying cloth. So, for the first time this year [:$] I decided to clean my car and I have to say that I AM LOVING THE LAMBSWOOL!!!. It's amazing and fun. The drying cloth was £12 but well worth it as the car has come up pretty well but the downside is that I can now see all the carpark dents and scratches. []. I've taken some before and after shots and I'm quite pleased with the results. HOWEVER, I do need some advice on getting my wheels nice and clean (try and ignore the massive scuffs) as, whilst they are now cleaner, they aren't perfect. Your comments and suggestions please...............
