  1. Nope! The guy who put them on was apparently new to using that type of vinyl so he didn't know either. You live and learn. hopefully the next set (whatever they may be) will last longer and look better.
  2. Yes, Dayglo also known as colour-go
  3. Thanks ma man!
  4. Thanks guys! Glad you like it. Note to self: Next purchase - Quickshift
  5. Yeah, that's true, but nevertheless, still a good choice. Not something you see everyday. Enjoy it till you get another Impreza
  6. Not really had luxury, but I'm with you - power everytime (til I get too old for it, which is not that far away ).
  7. Igot mine done at Underground Graphics but I wouldnt recommend as they faded really badly. Also, I know of other people who have had the same vinyls as me and they took the laquer off! Have a look on eBay, you will find something there or wait till GusTheBus gets back from his hols in a week or so, he is able to get some done for dontations to Santa Cruise.
  8. Yes! No! Cheers for the comments folks, was a lot of fun making it!
  9. Let's face it, we surround ourselves in life with things we don't need. Do we need PCs that fast, do we need 50inch plasma TVs? Do we need 3-bed Detached houses? No no and no. But what is life without some trimmings?
  10. Yeah, I see your point. From time to time I think of what I spend on the car (£60 for petrol alone) and I think, what am I doing??? But the car gives me a great deal of pleasure and enjoyment that the money saved from not having the car would not be able to bring. Having cash in the bank does nothing for me, spend spend spoend I say. Not mature, wise or responsible... yeah, so what?
  11. Here is what you need: 1) Camcorder 2) Decent weather 3) Camera clamp 4) Decent video-editing software 5) A guy that's clever with the software (not me!) 6) Huge slice of self indulgence. I think you'll like it... enjoy Click .Please note: Video editing software was used to speed up clips to create the illusion of high-speed. No speed laws were compromised in the making of this short film.
  12. Peter, is my DP 3-inch going into 2.5?
  13. Steady!
  14. Well that, and newer cars that are not broke
  15. Haha! Every morning, every morning. I have no idea why all these people line up in the one lane instead of using the blocked lane then merge in.
  16. Yep, sure is!
  17. Thanks mate!
  18. Cheers! Andy gave me a couple last time I was down. I took a loan out to pay for the re-build and took a bit extra as well, and jsut blew it all on the car! Ha!
  19. Yeah, I stick to SIDC days. Those are pretty safe bar one or two muppets. Oh and cool pics.
  20. All things considered, there is no way, no matter how you cut it that you can justify running an Impreza, Its nothing more than a huge slice of self-indulgence, pure and simple. If I wasn't pouring money into a car, what else would I do with it? I have all the house I ever want, I have seen enough of the world, so no need to travel, I don't wnat to go to the grave with a big bank balance. I run mine inspite of the costs, not becasue I can find a way to justify it. As long as I can afford it, I'll run an Impreza (or until I get so old as to embaress my self!).
  21. Thanks! flat4online.co.uk £90 The harness fits through the hole in the seat and bolt onto the fitting on the back seat at the floor. They can be detached to use the rear seats. The other two points drop down each side of the seat and attach to the bolts at the back of the seat runners. They can be attached and removed easlity to eyelets that are fitted in place of the runner bolts. I'll take a pic of these later and show you. 1.4 at peak! Too cauld! Oh yes!
  22. I'm bored so I thought I'd post some of the new bling bits that I have added to the car in recent weeks/months. So here goes: 1) Vortex Generator: 2) Gauges: 3) Brembos: 4) Harnesses 5) Most importantly, a new STICKER! There are some other bits, but those are inside the engine, but the batteries for my Xray camera are needing charged, so no pics of the forged pistons or racing shells!
  23. Ach well, hopefully your absence from Scobbies is not permanent and you find your way back in one form or another. All the best, hope the wife keeps well. J
  24. Nice one, welcome to Scottish Scoobies, enjoy your stay.
