  1. I hate having to take a trip for V Power more than once a week purely on the basis of the cost of it and the crappy MPG I get, so I run with the light on for a bit so that I can strech out every tankful to the max (silly, I know). I filled up today after the light came on last night (during a spirited spurt I might say) and the tank took 54.99 litres! Talk about cutting it fine.
  2. Sorry to hear about this mate. Can't you stick the standard springs back on, or are they still too stiff? I have a set if you need them and I also have the standard stereo too if you want it to replace your good stuff. All the best with it. J
  3. I think "Do it!" At the end of day, its not permanent. So if you don't like it, you can take them off after a while. A nice Four O pressie if you ask me!
  4. Well, in that case, I humbly retract my previous comments…
  5. What makes you think you can jsut come on here and post on the Scottish forum? I think you should be banned for that too! Enjoy your trip.
  6. Try here mate: Evo Graphics Limited Unit 5 Pollock Ave Hillhouse Ind Estate Hamilton ML3 9SZ Tel 01698 33179 I have never used them but I know someone who has and the job was a good one, so I guess I can sort of recommend them. They don't have a Website though. J
  7. Yeah, but you deserve it...
  8. Yeah the camo ones were awesome. I'm still undecided. The only thing I have decided on is a definite change.
  9. Thought you said not to?
  10. The DC ones look awesome and as for the orange wheels, lovin those! I'd do it if it wasn't a case of £200. Decisions decisions!
  11. LOL !!! Thanks Stephen, tons of stuff to look over in there! Maybe the No Fear would work by changing the red outline to orange.
  12. Can you see them now Marky
  13. Thanks for the advice mate, much appreciated.
  14. Yes, it is a bit busy, so I would tone it down a bit Seen that too Stephen and liked it, but one other SIDC guy says he is going to go down the Red Bull route. i have not discounted it completely Thought about that too, but don't think they'd look so good on a blue car. Maybe if I changed the colour... Correctamundo! I have known two others who have lost paint when removing these. Apparently there is some liguid solution that you can get to help take them off. Got your PM mate... I'll reply on that. Thanks folks, all seems pretty positive I honestly thought I'd have gotten lambasted! Ha! I suppose there is time yet!
  15. Saying you are waiting til the warranty expires is like saying the extra powe will defo do your car in! If you want to do it, do it now; either way, you will be screwed! Well, that is IF anything goes wrong. Besides, you won't lose your warranty completely anyway. If the brakes go. or suspension fails, the engine mods wont matter. I got disks done under warranty twice with Tein springs fitted. Also, if it does happen to go belly up and as long as you keep your standard bits, you can revert your car back and try your luck. Not that I'd advocate dishonesty, but some people might feel OK about doing that sort of thing. When my piston went, I reverted it back and had it tested under warranty, but the analysis showed up nothing. I then got a compression test done independently which pointed to a damaged piston and at that point I stopped pursuing the warranty as it was most likely my doing. Go for it and worry about it later, nothing ventured, nothing gained and faint heart never won sh!t!!! Haha!
  16. I kinda like the idea of graphics on the car, but I am getting a bit fed up with the WRT ones I currently have. They have faded and too many others have them as well. To that end I was thinking about a little change... So I was thinking about going from this: To something along these lines: I like the Monster Energy drink catchphrase: Unleash the beast! All USA/America references won't be included. Opinions please!?
  17. Should marginally improve MPG under normal driving. If you boot it, then obviously you're using the extra power and that means extra fuel. I understand wanting to keep the warranty. I jumped in and upgraded my turbo, got a remap and all that, and a week later it went pop. The 2.5's run tighter in the bore in an effort to reduce emmissions. This means there is less forgiveness when driving the car hard when detonation might occur; the result? A busted piston. I use the car for the track too, so this puts extra strain on the engine. I wouldn't say that all cars are going to suffer this fate, I think I was just unlucky, but there is always a risk. With PPP you warranty is intact, but the power gains are not worth the money compared to what you can get with an AndyF and some moderate upgrades (with your spec D you'd keep the original turbo I'd imagine). How much is left on your warranty? Is it worth spending near 2k for a little bit extra power in the interest of keeping your warranty for the remaining year or so? Only you know my friend!
  18. Hahaha! OOPS!! What happened there!?
  19. Hahaha!
  20. Yeah there is that. But then again, the 300bhp version would be fine I think. The cost of running the car at the moment is scaring me - 18 mpg!!!! Dunno if I can justify that TBH. On top of that I have spent £4.5k on the engine alone. Now I have to run V Power which is another expense on top of the loss of MPG. I guess I am stuck with it at the moment. On reflection, I probably should have stuck with the standard 230bhp!
  21. Yeah me too, that was why I bought a nice new one in 04. However the call for a "real" car was too loud and it was replaced 1months later with the Scoob. I have never regretted it, ever. However, to be back behind the wheel of one of these with a Subaru engine is an oppertunity too good to pass up!
  22. Desktop Wallpaper you mean
  23. Cool, good luck with it!
  24. Oh! Now we're talking! Perhaps I am looking at my newxt new car!
