Does that matter? intent is enough these days for player to be shown red. And for pity's sake man, Ronaldo did what ever other player has done, and will continue to do, here it is: complain to the referee! You see it ALL the time and England players are jsut as prone to it as other players. Rooney let himself, his team and his country down with his ridiculous behaviour. Is it any wonder why their deranged fans go on the rampage at every tournament when the likes of that nut is on show. What about Shearer advocating that Rooney should slap Ronaldo when they get back to Manchester? Fabulous punditry... another example of english mentality. The English footballing fraternity are nothing but arrogant, condescending idiots who think that the world revloves around them. ARGH - they make me sick the lot of  them!!!! Hopfully their rioting fans, again of which there are many, will see that the pompous men in white are not allowed to grace a major tournament for a while to come. Then, and only then, can the rest of us can enjoy the football.
