  2. Yur a guy and a half Marty, apart from the guy!
  3. Thanks Squiggly-One-Cayote!
  4. Cool! How do I get IN the tank??? Remember you are talking to a total novice! And what am I looking for reagrding a filter, pump and sediments?
  5. Yeah, I'd get a whole 50 pence for it... Piloschit that it is.
  6. YES! Got those, fitted them. Now PLEASE go look at my other thread and see if you can help me Stewart as plugs didn't work!
  7. Hi Folks, please help: Here's the deal Replaced turbo with VF34 and sports cat downpipe installed. Car mapped and running tremendously well. Took the car on track 3 days after the map and it was fantastic. Drive home, fantastic. Up the next morning, fuel light on took it to the petrol station and 100 yards from the forecourt, the car gives starts to run lumpy as I appraoch the give way, I think oh no, Im out of gas. I make it to the pump, fill up, drive off, same problem. Its been running like a bag of spanners ever since, mostly in low revs. Changed the plugs no joy, ran a different MAF was a bit better but still not right. I have spoken to everyone and anyone and can't get a solution. It has been suggested that it might be injectors or coil packs (earlier suggestions were thought to be a damaged ring-land due to the ECU knocking at same low revs, however, it seems that its a misfire that is triggering the KS thus making matters worse). SO! Can anyone help, even to lend me a coil pack or whatever else it might be? I am going to put the car off the road for a couple of days for extensive checks, but would rather avoid that if possible because: a) I NEED the car I DON'T need the expense! Other info that might be of help: WRX MY06 2.5 Diagnostics checks show no sensor faults Misfire at low revs (mostly) No smoke or vapour from exhaust Water levels fine Put fuel cleaner in, no joy Thanks John
  8. Be good if I know whathalf of that meant!
  9. Is this like a "James Bond" gadget or does is it really useful? Would that help pinpoint the reason for my misfire???? Much you selling that for?
  10. What does that do Jim?
  11. Wow awful! Not that it helps now, but it could have been worse. Hope they are both ok and that the car is ok too.
  12. Going through a similair situation mate, so I know the feeling! Lets hope it gets better for both of us soon. J
  13. Why, thank you!
  14. Cool pics - sounds like you had a great time.
  15. where did you find that Peter? the number on my current plugs is ILFR6B. Itake it the 7s are the performance ones.
  16. Cheeeeeeers!
  17. I meant to ask, where in Glasgow can I pick up a new set of plugs? performance ones.
  18. Stunning! Much do you charge for getting taking off these awful stickers I have? I have been told it will need not just heat but some kind of solution to soften the adhesive or it will lift the laquer.
  19. The picture below shows the spark plug from my car: MY06 WRX 2.5. the brand new one was bought to slot in to a MY05 STi 2.0. As you can see, there is a considerable difference in size of them, so take note if you are going to change your own plugs, that plugs from older models will not do.
  20. Is there a difference between the spark plug gap in the 05 STI and the 06 WRX?
  21. Welcome mate, nice car. Alloys and some lowering springs
  22. Maybe that is why their latest offerings are so pig-ugly... Have you seen the Prius????
  23. No need for messing around, jsut say what you think! Couldn't be any more to the point if you tried, love it! Ha!
