  1. Spoke to the dealer, the deal is on the table. I can't find the running issues, hence they reason for a fresh (costly) start.
  2. Hi All I have a MY06 WRX and have been having some trouble with my car to the point I'd rather get shot and get a new car. I have eyed the GB270 with much admiration and have talked the good wife into parting with the reddies for said machine. However, I'm not so sure I can justify the extra costs. It would be an extra £65 a month on top of what I pay now and I'd have to extend my loan from remaining 5.5 years to another 7 year one. I have a VF34 turbo, sports cat with 340BHP and 390 Torque. This has been removed from the car to try and get to the bottom of the running issues. I also have 18 Gold wheels all the exhuast goodies, braided hoses, droplinks Tein Springs and ALK. The good wife has suggested taking a smaller loan, similair monthly repayment but back to 7 years and I'd get 4 grand to mod the car with. I want to put in forged pistons so that is liekly to take at least 25% of my budget and with the remaining 3K I'd uprate the brakes, STi topmount, remap and tyres. That should just about exhaust my 4k. Problem is, I can't decide what to do. If I get the new car, well I get a brand new GB270 but I'd lose my brakes hoses, wheels, ALK, Teins, droplinks ECUTEK license, as well as the added £60+ per month, but my running issues would be solved! What should I do!?
  3. Good luck ma man!
  4. Agree with this, they look well cool. If you must change, I'd suggest black, something that compliments teh body work. Nice looking car though.
  5. GEt well soon mate, sorry to hear you are having a bad time with it.
  6. There is one sitting in the showroom, lovely!
  7. Saloon, not a fan of estate cars.
  8. Ha! That's what I was thinking!
  9. Keep trying mate, it will be well worth your while!
  10. Said the same to me.
  11. Then yes, defo a good price.
  12. Nope! Nor did I change the pump. Is your turbo new/recondition/2nd hand?
  13. Wouldn't like to comment on what else is needed along with the turbo given its not an Impreza, but it looks like you have all the bases covered, injectors maybe?. My VF34 cost my £420 with 8000 miles on it, so looks like you are getting a good deal.
  14. So how many ft/lbs of torque is 420 Nms?
  15. I'd take most of the mods off, the only mod left woudl be droplinks and wheels. I have already had some warrany work done with the mods, so warranty would be ok.
  16. It's basically a WRX with PPP, 270ps (1ps = 96% BHP, I thnk) and 420 Nm torque, though I have no idea what an Nm is.
  17. I'm a NewAge man!
  18. Ha! Have you seen the GB270 site? Plenty to drool over there. Ahhhh wish I hadn't seen this! I'm relaly jsut annoying myself.
  19. Aye, but less trade in. I have to get the right trade in to clear my existing loan. If I got that my monthly payments wouls stay about the same, and it would give me a place to start with the missus!
  20. Yes, and: privacy glass, more power, big Prodrive Spolier, nicer interior, and I seen a monitor type thing on the dash that looks like it has SatNav built in. Car was locked though so I couldn't get a close enough look. Also, the car would be brand new!
  21. I just checked Parker myself and it says: Franchised Dealer £15,445 That is not a million miles off of what I'd take for it, plus it has the STi spoiler and 18inch gold PFF7 copies. I'd be taking my Whiteline, Tein and exhaust goodies off of it though. Spose I'd have to leave the droplinks since I don't have the originals.
  22. Looks like I have no choice!
