  1. Enjoyment of a non-Subaru, in terms of driving, is just not possible with a regular car. There are other benefits though; cheaper running costs, but that's about it, at least IMHO. Bought a 59 plate Civic Type S GT as a replacement for the Scooby and I haven't put a sponge near it in three months. There is litter in it, the back seats are always down cause my golf gear is in and out. Plus the boot is covered in grass and crap. I couldn't care less about it, I might as well buy a cheap runaround. Driving will never be the same again. I'm contemplating a CR-V diesel, AWD. Miss the Scooby :(

  2. Sitting there amongst all the drunks smelling of pee, buses are clatty cause they never get cleaned properly, people coughing and sneezing on you.you'll have to stand for the whole journey and bus fares aint cheap.Im sure its almost a fiver to go to Glasgow and back for me with first bus and thats only about a 12mile round journey.

Yes im sure public transport will be a pleasurable experiance for you.lol

Couldn't have put it any better myself, Billy. Public transport is the pits man.

  3. Feel gutted for you mate. You were always a friendly and encouraging spirit in the club as well as extremely helpful. I have moved on from Scoobies, but the car and many of the folks will remain in my heart for a long time to come, obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be gutted. I hope it all turns around for you and your health improves. I dunno that there is any thing I have that could help you, but you know where i am if you can. Keep the heid up, God bless ya. :icon_salut:

  4. He's dropped the price to £11,500 for BIN, nae chance. Of course I'll be a bit annoyed if he gets that kind of dosh for it; annoyed that I didn't get more, not annoyed at him for attempting to make a profit. It was only a few days previous to putting the car on eBay that he sent me a text with some question about the rods and manifold. He bought a 321T turbo for it as well. He told me he took it too the mapper and my feeling is that the mapper has informed him that he can't run much more BHP on that engine without some more serious work being done on the internals (I meant to say to him that the gearbox wouldn't handle it either, I must have forgot), I could be wrong of course. He was actually saving a ton of money over his previous car; some limited ed RS6 with 480BHP, 9 miles to the gallon and 2 grand per annum for insurance. The Scooby is an economy car by comparison!

He was a really nice guy and appeared to love the car, but there you go. I wish I had it back :( at least my heart does but my head is well in charge on that score :)

  5. LOL @ Tommy, thanks mate! No Billy, no regrets at all, it was time to move on. Driving a fast car is the dream of all little boys but I was never afforded the opportunity to do such until much later in life. Thanks to the Scooby community, I have had a riot. The best thing about the car was defo Knockhill; there is no better way to enjoy the pleasures that a modded Scooby can bring (or any Scoob for that matter). The entire experience was a very memorable one :)
