  1. I bought and Exedy Stage 1 and Hypertech fitted it. Think I was just under the £300 for the part from Ebay (seller was Justclutches or something)
  2. Please note the date for the run has been changed to the 18th December as Robin House can't do the 11th.
  3. Please see Scottish Events for details.
  4. If you wish a Donation form please email me at robert@sidc.co.uk
  5. Also could I get a list of names that would be interested in a night at Peter's. Don't want to organise this unless we have good numbers. Please add your name. 1. STI Pretender 2.
  6. Ok after a chat at the Glasgow Meet we have decided to support Robin House this year. Just finalising a date for the run down with the Chairty, but all looks good. I'll get the donation forms posted up once I get all the info, hopefully later today. Date now confirmed, we are all set for Sunday the 11th December 2011. Meeting point will the ASDA at Govan which will allow any last minute toys and tinsel to be bought. Heading off at about 12 noon so we arrive at Robin House for 1.00pm. The other reason for choosing Govan is that we are night next to the tunnel, pops and bangs at the ready. Prize for best decorated car as usual, will see if we can get Robin House to judge the contest. List of presents is as follows: Toiletries - great for the young adults (we have more male young adults than female) Arts and Crafts - great as suit all age groups Toys - learning toys, board games, soft toys etc great for the siblings as well as affected child Chocolate - biscuits, tins of chocolates and selection boxes - great for everyone at the house DVD's and Computer Games - to suit all age groups I will get a seperate post for cars attending, if we get more than 20 I have to notify the police of the run. I've attached a link to CHAS for anyone who does not know much about them. http://www.chas.org.uk/
  7. Please see the Scottish Events section for details.
  8. No need to reset the ECU, I lent my battery to Welsho for a weekend and the car was fine.
  9. Was having a think about this and as Mark says it could be good to split the run East and West and hopefully give more opportunity to let members involved. I'll contact CHAS and see what they say about donating.
  10. Please note the date for the run has been changed to the 18th December as Robin House can't do the 11th. As usual Glasgow/Strathclyde will be organsing their Santa Cruise run for 2011. At the meeting last week the suggestion of possible supporting another good cause was table. As most of you know we normally make our run to Yorkhill Children's Hospital suggestions are Rachel House or Robin House and whether we split monies between Yorkhill and one of these or do alternate years. Your comments on this would be welcomed. Peter (FAI17) has kindly offered the use of his newly refurbished restaurant (Kwang Tung in Paisley) once I get a date for the charity run we can sort out another thread for the meal and raffle prizes. Peter has been a great supporter of Santa Cruise ever year and makes a donation from the taking on the night. Your help and support in making Santa Cruise a continued success for the club would be greatly appreciated as it really does make a difference to the children.
  11. Glasgow/Strathclyde Meet, 6th October 2011 at 7.30pm. See Scottish Events for details.
  12. Really depends on your budget. Strut braces are where I started made the car a bit more rigid. Antilift kit was next which helped with the understeer and a good geometry setup. I've since changed to fast road/track BC Coilovers and had the new trackrod ends fitted. Swapped the top mounts to allow more caster. Gone for more of a track setting on the car as that is all it is used for now. Car is amazing through the corners, when I started trackdays the Elise's use to leave me in the corners now I'm right behind them.
  13. I have a set of feet for Thule Bars (Kit 1210) never used box opened to check Only looking for what I paid £10.
  14. Please see Scottish Events section for details.
  15. You get 3 types of block, open which has open water channels round the cylinders, semi-closed which has more more webs and closed which as very little space round the cylinders. Closed deck is a stronger engine when going for more power. Picture of open & closed.
  16. Yes, we have the forms for a club stand, my mate's 40th on the 3rd so doubt I'll be in a fit state to get up early and drive. If anyone wants to take the lead on this and organise the stand we'll sort the paperwork and tickets out. Please add your name: 1. 2. If we get interest I'll move this to events.
  17. Glasgow/Strathclyde Meet 4th August 2011 meeting at the Harvester at Hillington. See Scottish Events for full details.
  18. Great day out, good turnout considering it was a bit wet in the morning. Afternoon brightened up and pursuit laps gave a bit more interesting track action for the crowd. Must have been one to many hatch jokes for Dels as he tried to take me out. Big thanks to everyone who helped set up and organise the day and hope there wasn't to much damage to the Seat.

  20. If you want get any tips for an original car have a look at Gus's one of the best V1 RA's around. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/garage/vehicle/198-subaru-type-r/page__tab__images
  21. 23rd March 2006 is the cut-off date, unfortunely mine was register 31st March 2006. Annoying thing is they brought in the rules after I bought mine.
  22. The Mods will be after you for that statement.
  23. Looking good, with my BC's I started at soft and set them all at about 10 clicks then took it for a drive to see how it felt. Just kept going out until I was happy with the feel. BC on the classic are set up in the 20's but that's for track use.
  24. Sorry to hear your selling up, hopefully you'll be back in the future.
  25. Sad news. Thoughts go out to all his family.
