  1. Yogi, your picture strikes a spooky likeness to my wife's face last year when I covered her strawberries in Tabasco sauce !
  2. LOL
  3. No worries mate. Will get it for you next time I am up London. Fudge <-- getting the hang of this now. NE1UP410S2NITE ?
  4. lol k. I have much to learn about these smileys and words like yiagibu ?.
  5. <--- what's ?, or am I thick ?
  6. Anyone going on this one ??
  7. Thank you Scooby Hoo. I made numerous mistakes on every lap though. There was an easy 1:12 in the car if not more, and that was echoed by one of the instructors who drove my car.
  8. I have tried that Ian. No good mate. I know what you mean, some camcorders can work direct through Windows Movie maker but my Panasonic does need the software in my PC. I now need to contact Panasonic in the US just to order a CD !. What I am going to do is just buy another camcorder that uses the same DVDRW and KEEP hold of the CD this time. Thanks for your help anyway Ian.
  9. Thanks Ian. Is a "fire wire" the regular USB lead straight into the camcorder ?
  10. Good comment Steve (Re the choice for Time Attack cars). Surely that must be looked at as a statement. One of my guys has an STI (uk spec) and he wanted me to put it through it's paces, so I did. I am not putting the new age chassis / body down because I do like them and think that many look really nice, however it was hugely different to drive especially at pace. The first thing that hit me was how big the car feels. Classics feel so much smaller and tighter to drive. To get a new age to handle like a P1, Type R or a 22b would cost A LOT of money because the costs would not stop at new suspension.
  11. Yep good films Granby. I filmed my second lap from in car but I do not have the software for my panasonic cam corder in my PC. Trouble is it's a newish PC and I cannot find the Panasonic software disc anywhere? Found out now that I cannot download it so I have to write off the Panasonic and re order the disc !! What a load of b******s. Can watch it through my TV and it came out ok.
  12. Cool I would like one mate.
  13. It is difficult (or unfair) to compare my classic to new ages. Ok the P1 was quicker than all new ages on the day BUT my classic is not standard. I would have assumed the fastest new age was Eureka with a lap time of 1:20 BUT Steve's is not standard either. My gut feeling is that an original "stock" P1 would still beat any new age despite some new age Impreza's having more torque & bhp. Prodrive had a far larger input than Subaru to develop the P1. My original Prodrive suspension was superb in all conditions and out the factory done a 0-60mph in 4.6 (with many reputable claims saying it was under 4.6).
  14. Today was the first time I have had the opportunity of trying to find the limits. I normally look after the car when driving having a burst every now and again. Deep down I knew it was going to quick but I was unsure of the limit level. The car was good in the tight sections but after all the tight bends was that long sweeping right leading over to the long final straight... and that was totally insane. The car would be at home on proper circuits, it was totally crazy to drive in the fast sections. Going through the time list after wards with Mark:- 1st run. 1:18secs (equal 1st white Evo 10) 2nd run. 1:17 fastest lap 3rd run. 1:17 fastest lap 4th run My time was 1:15 and the guy in the red Evo was 1:14. and this point I adjusted my suspension from 25 to 35 ready and up for it in the 5th run. 5th run. Cancelled due to fading light and cold track conditions. Chatting to the guy with the red Evo (1:14secs) and found out was running 470-490bhp plus trickydoo's. Mike Wilds jumped in my car just before lunch & said "ok show me a fast lap" my reply was "only if you take me for a lap after wards". He said "I would love to" I gave it my best then swapped seats. Not one word was mentioned on the next lap, and f**k he drove that quick!. After we had gone over the finish line we looked at each other (whilst both sporting a fantastic grin) and he said "f*****g awesome". I made many mistakes and was changing at 6K on the straights (limiter at 7.5K) and I said to Mike that a 1:10 would not be a problem and he agreed. He gave me one of his cards and said bring ot to Brands Feb 27th? 28th? Never realised that Mike is one of the Uk's most experienced helicopter pilot trainers. Over 8000 flying hours! Will be going to Brands possibly with slicks?
  15. Classic and New ages were both good. Trevs electronics played up at one point when a reddy lit up on the dash. Reason? the ECU became slightly confused when the car changed direction in 4 nanoseconds and was traveling backwards at 110 mph due to a proper "blokes" spin out
  16. Nice pics Steve/Suzy. Really enjoyed the whole day. Had to love & leave ya on way back. Hev nearly out of fuel so we stopped at Thurrock.
  17. Does Suzy know of your current fetish with Trev's nuts?
