  3. Granby, Eureka seems to be gifted in many issues, other than computers and hand cuffs keys!
  4. Trevor.. not sure if your read my previous message in your other thread, however I have an account at a place that could well have a solvent that would release that silicone without damaging your paint. Do you want me to give them a ring??? or for a more professional approach we have 12" angle grinders and large crow bars. I personally think your car looks nice as it is.
  5. I don't believe we have met however good luck in Australia. Your job sounds as though it's going to be interesting!!.
  6. Trevor, I have an account at place that may sell something that will remove that silicone section of your spoiler. Want me to check it out ? Fudge

  11. Trevor: you have a hidden talent there matey. (photography). Dunks: Your car had some nice sounds leaving the toll at Dartford Tunnel. Sounded nice from behind mate. Eureka: Your car looks good matey, sits well and looks like a bit of a riot. Granby: Nice video and your car looked quicker than I thought it would be. Hev filmed one lap from inside my car however I have not uploaded a video to "Photobucket" before. I am limited to 100 MB vids in Photobucket. ???? did you compress your video file ?? and was it an AVI ??

  17. I was wondering if there was a section on the SIDC where forum etiquette or rules may be found. Has a quick browse and could not find anything. I have removed a thread regarding an issue that I had with a Ferrari 360. To be honest (and with respect), I was shocked at a reply from a fellow member, that condemned the topic and basically made me sound like a bragging idiot on a suicide mission. I certainly don't make a habit of doing it, but I believed that Impreza owners (many with mods) would have found it interesting how a modified Impreza compares to such cars as the 360. I fully agree it's wrong, and that accidents could happen, but there is a high risk of accidents at track day events too, a typical example being the Evo on the parade laps at Time Attack (Brands 08). Does this mean that threads describing a track day experience would be condemned too??. If the answer is yes, then I am in the wrong club. The subjects of engine modification or performance enhancements seem to be accepted, yet to describe the end results are not?? Fudge <-- confused
  18. Received tickets yesterday So we are meeting at The Wharf at 6.00am ??
  19. Looking good Granby ;)
  20. Should have used RCM Ian. People say that RCM are too expensive?, ok their own parts may be, but the quality is there. I am not sure if I mentioned to you, but my wife smashed the rear window of her TT (soft top). Shopping in back and used the electric hood !! smashed the glass..... anyway, Audi of Tonbridge want £ 850.00 for the soft top and £ 120.00 per hour. They said they had only fitted one roof previous and that took the fitter 15 hours !!. I said "what was he a f*****g kitchen fitter"? £ 2,650.00 for a soft top ! Back to the point, RCM are £ 45.00 per hour. That certainly is not expensive for the quality of service. A couple of weeks back I had all new brakes. Collected my car and last thing Olly said to me was, "don't forget your old brakes are in the boot mate". Pulled in a motorway service after about 50 miles and opened the boot. They had bubble wrapped the entire boot. Boxed up the old brakes in the boxes the new brakes came in, and taped every joint on every box. They are how the rest should be.
  21. Your find out soon mate
  22. Good job guys. The first meet went well. Nice location and a friendly atmosphere. Look forward to the next one.
  23. I was in Tun' Wells Saturday night a booked a cab home (1.15am). On the way back I decided to go to a friends house instead. The cab driver was a guy aged around 60 - 65 yrs old and whilst sitting in the back of his cab I lent forward and tapped him on the shoulder and was just about to tell him when he swerved violently. We then hit a kerb and went into the Newsagents window in Southborough High St. After the smashing noise of the glass had stopped it went all quite. I didn't know what to say so I said "sorry mate". He said "it wasn't your fault lad. Iv'e only been taxi driving for 2 weeks. Before that I drove for GS Funeral Services for 34 yrs".
