A good friend of mine had exactly the same issue. He has a TVR Cerbra and took it to Guglielmi Motor sport and over heated on way back. After about 20 miles he returned to G M S and they would not admit to anything. Currently having heads sorted out somewhere else for £ 4K !! Consulted a solicitor regarding the issue.................. useless. No joy He could not PROVE it was GMS that caused the damage.

It's a good idea regarding the opening of a door into motor sport for guys on a limited budget. The chances of destroying the car as a result of a racing incident, mechanical failure or maybe the fault of another driver is much higher than driving a boat into a harbour wall or flying a plane into the ground ! One thing to think of: when a guy attends a track day with his own car he would typically spend more time in the pits than flat out on the track. Ten guys sharing one car would result in the complete opposite and increase the chances of mechanical failure ten times. I still believe it's a good idea Hugh, but the aforementioned would need to be realised by all concerned to prevent the s**t from hitting the fan.

What about going up Sat and Hotel it somewhere near the venue ? That way, we will all feel a bit more "with it" driving home. I will be driving the TT up there. If I leave the car in a local car park could I jump in with someone?? Don't think I will get in with the car as my P1 was booked in?
