Top job phil. This stage one of the exhaust mods

When you are on a budget guys and didn't plan on outlaying for a new set of alloys the choice is limited and I haved had black wheels on cars for a while and to be honest fancied a change. It really is just an expensive toy as it is not my daily driver but i wouldn't change that for the world. I have been away from scoobs a few times now and always end up back. I have met so many great people though the cars which is one of the reasons I always end up back behind the wheel of one. And for info my new nuts arent't bigger but they do fit a lot better and are more streamlined for speed lol.

The sun shines nicely recently here in Glasgow and We have been outside in our garden painting our decking and what a tough job it has been and has kept us really rely busy and therefore I have not had much time to post on the forums and with it being so nice and sunny I didn't want to get stuck inside the house as it was so nice in the garden and we do not have an Internet connection that makes us able to get our Internet in the garden maybe I will see if Scott can help out as I know his good lady is very good with things of a technical nature like computers and the Internet.

Got these fitted today due to my recent crack issue we discovered on Sunday. Also got some shiny new nuts at the same time Was going for gloss black but the shiny silver won in the end. Will have the oz's up for sale when I can get pics taken etc. Big thanks again to Scott(scoobywho) for sourcing them for me.

The discs had a coating on them which might be what you guys are referring to. Will see how they get on. Thanks for the info though. Chris

Pads only done couple of thousand miles. With having to buy new set of alloys now I will just need to leave as is I am afraid. It is only a weekend toy.

I would just like to say thanks to scott(scoobywho) and gordon(g1983) for fitting my nice shiny new brake discs today. Front these To these Car feels a lot better under braking. Only downside is that we found a second crack in the wheel that has a.ready been repaired. It looks like I will have to purchase a new set of wheels now as two cracks in the one wheel isn't good. Thanks for the info. I have ordered a set of pagid discs for the front and will see what this ro's to the braking. The discs on the car are still the originals from the factory 9 years ago so may be contributing to the poor performance.

Hope you get your exhaust sorted. As mentioned speak to fai17 aka Peter if you fancy a custom meercat snakehead sportcat downpipe and second cat delete. He will get you a good price. I looked at japspeed and they don't appear to do hawkeye one but give them a call or pm them to see if they cn help. Any other modification needs just let us know and we are sure to know someone to help. Chris

Brake fluid was replace last year with dot 5.1. Discs could be at fault as they are original ones with 40k on them

Well after the first track session yesterday I think handling is definitely next on the modification list. So question is what are the first handling mods best to do? Oh and think I will need to get some different brake pads for the fronts for next time as the red stuff didn't give me 100% confidence in stopping. So the loaded question is what pads give good bite on track and on road but don't cost the earth?
