All speculation, but the photoshop work to "STI" the WRX is making me nod with appreciation.

Agree with that, but still seems to me to be a step backward in the looks department. Actually, when you look at a standard Impreza and compare it to the WRX version alone, its chalk and cheese, so maybe just maybe, the new Impreza like the old one; poor in its non-WRX format, will look much better and acceptable to all in its full WRX/STi trim. Not holding my breath though and as Stephen said, "speculation".

I think if we can get past the poor looks of this car I think it will be stonking, even though I dont think I would spend my money on this creation I may in the future but not now!!!!,  its just too Honda Civic for mee and Honda's are just too em I don know.....cack looking

 

I dont doubt this will be yet another superb car, but im just getting too many "I dont think so vibes"

There was a couple of other things that floated my particular boat. If we go beyond the looks, which after seeing the black one earlier in the week and then yesterday's speculated STI I'm actually growing to appreciate, then we need to look at what will make it worthy of being called "Impreza".

It would appear that it is going to handle, and if the 6 pot brembos make it in then it'll sure as hell stop. And we know that the flat four has plenty of go. So ability wise it certainly looks like it's going to stack up as a worthy successor to the STI.

Looks are growing on me but as mentioned above the way this thing will go, corner and stop should be better than the current impreza and that can only be a good thing, if you can remember that your driving it and not looking at it if you dont like the looks it will be some machine

Now that looks marginally better. But do we really want Subaru going down the Hot hatch route??? Personally I think NOT!

Back end still looks SEAT to me. Middle deffo BMW and front well, f*ck knows what that looks like.

Might look better again in three door tbh

hmm... is it wrong to say that is growing on me? or is just the original shock has started to calm down a bit.

Still think its not as nice looking as the current ones and i do still think it should be a 4 door saloon instead of hatch but its not so bad now.

The question is who will be brave enough to show up first at one of the meets with it!

If it looks like that then I would defo consider one. But some off the previous pictures are scary. Scary enough to make me consider moving to the dark side. Like the thought of the hot hatch, and as I've mentioned before especially if it makes the Impreza more competitive in the WRC. I think the saloon is more practical for me. I'm going to wait until Litchfield imports them and make my mind up. May still venture to the dark side!
