surprisingly enough i take it pretty easy 95% of the time, funny thing is that on the very odd occasion i do give it a run to clear it out i end up wi three points and a 60 quid fine [;)]

I drive mine responsibly and according to the road conditions. Do I speed? Yes. Do I drive hard for the sake of doing so? No.

How do i drive my car

Like i feckin own it

Like i know whats going on under the bonnet

Like Cheech Marin in the famous movie "Up in smoke"

Like Miss Marple if the traffics are up my ass and i am "riding dirty"

Like i pay for the tyres and the maintainance

How do i drive the works van

Like Colin McRae through Kielder in 1995

Like i stole it

Like i dont pay for the repairs and maintainance

Like i get paid to drive 350 miles a day through the border like a whippet on crack

99% of the time I drive gently ( the odd bit of motorway and 3 mile commute)

but on The Stockiemuir Road ( my favourite road ever that I drive for 20 mins or so every 4 weeks, I go into this mode...

Most of the time fairly relaxed (which still turns out to be faster then anyone else on the A roads but thats 4wd for you)

But then every so often..... ;)

it's funny, been talking to a few folk about just this, a few of my mates are bike daft and have been doing quite a few track days over the last 2 or so years

we were talking about or driving style before and after the track events

seems like most of the aggresive nature is taken out on the track and after when you out on the normal roads you dont feel the need to just go like a hoolie

in town i'm a strict speed limit man, i shall admit to times of fustration when a wee blip is done, i aint perfect

but

i still give it radge on the open/back roads when there aint other folk around but still err on the side of caution, this is due to the unknown factor lurking round that last corner

ask the girlfriend, i've backed off big style after folk have thought it safe to 'go for it' and i've just held back to a point where i feel more comfortable to do the same

hope this makes some sort of sence

Got it in one. A lot of my driving is motorways or dual carriageways. A

Scoob is no different to any other car on them and no more fun to

drive. However, when I'm heading for my folks and get off the A90 and

onto the Banchory/Fettercairn THEN I can have some fun, but again as

you say, know the dangers.

Speed is relative. 30 down the main street is sometimes even too fast, but then 90 on the motorway can be achieved without any dramas at all.

Ally, I've followed you a few times and yes you can drive pretty damn quickly, but I would never say you were taking risks. Other traffic is given plenty of consideration, as is the conditions.

the car is driven differently by myself and les??

if im driving with kids in the car then it is done sensibly with the foot put down on cluny road to hit a few bumps lol which they love, when im on my own i do admit to going a wee bit faster than i really should but why have the power if you cant use it sometimes??

however we have just had a new clutch put in and the cars f**ked up again so there may be a wee surprise under the bonnet by next week!! so car is stuck in the driveway
