Alan-G Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Coooooooold. Wish somebody could have switched the wind off. But Imy (micra_wrx) was getting some passenger laps from a phsyco scooby driver (didn't catch his name - real nice guy) giving it sideways at the hairpin every lap. Superb! Imy had a big smile on his face that was sure. Yeah, it seemed to go really well.
Scoobyiain's Other Half Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 [][:'(] Well Well, Iains Ali here, reporting in to say that Iain sadly crashed his car today on the way to Knockhill. 15 miles or so past Perth. I got the phone call at around 7.40, thankfully a nice man stopped to give him some, help / call the police etc. More than can be said for the selfish git that drove on ahead to get to Knockhill on time....

david_taylor Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 You were all brave heading up there today! I took one look out the window and thought shaft that!
mctwistuk Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 What a great day it was today. I spent most of the day strapped in to John's oassenger seat which was great fun. a full 720 on the second lap was amazing. Jonh was getting the car round nicely. He had a great lap time of 1m16s which in the wet and having been his first time round was rather good. Also thanks to Stephen for a few pax laps. hope the brakes survived your journey home.
RA Dunk Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 what happened wi ian then? and like kloon says name and shame the culprit who left him behind
st3ph3n Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Great day. Weather was utterly baltic and at times it was proper driving rain (not rain for driving in), but it didn't dampen the spirits. I had mine pretty sidewards a few times, but it was all reasonably in control. I've basically run out of brakes though. Pedal needs a bit of dabbing to get it all back to normal before a decent braking effort. Oh well, 35K out of the front standard discs including 6 or 7 trackdays is pretty good going. Sorry to hear about Iain's accident on the way down too. I hope he's alright Ali. Hope everyone I took out enjoyed themselves. I was really struggling with brake judder after about 5 laps, but the car was going very nicely indeed. OH! Some ****ing idiot tried to kill me on the way home. I came up behind them on the M876 and they didn't move over. So I blipped the lights and they started to go left, got half way out of the lane so I started to gas it up then the ******* moved back right again and hit the anchors. I got passed them on the low side a wee bit further up the road then they started to try and chase me. So if you see a blue 02 reg (I think) 206 Estate with a metal badge saying "Willie" then be careful as he's ****ing psycho.
micra_wrc Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 good day but it was mighty windy and wet [] even with 5 layers on I could still feel the cold ...But Imy (micra_wrx) was getting some passenger laps from a phsyco scooby driver (didn't catch his name - real nice guy) giving it sideways at the hairpin every lap. Superb! Imy had a big smile on his face that was sure. ... Alan, that was Peter (FAI17) that was out in Jools car - not me LoL I'm female btw [] edit to add well done JohnS for organising another good track day [Y] pax lap donations were split 3 ways (Gla, Edn and Central) - allyb, i've got Glasgow's share.

st3ph3n Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Shame. For the benefit of everyone that wasn't there - I was wearing bright red, ferrari branded puma speed cat trainers. They were the absolute business on the track for the H+Ting.
RA Dunk Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 ahh would they be the ones that look a wee bit like the shoes rally drivers wear? (not that i have a pair or anything lol)
