st3ph3n Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Andy, all the info you need here - http://bbs.22b.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?...4214;p=1#000034 A 9.51 before it went pear shaped, but he still had best time of the day.
RA Dunk Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 terminal of 169 over the 1/4 mile , bloody well done MR.F [H]

Andy's car is set to post new 'goals', a tiny last bit of reliability is, I believe, currently being dialed in. Amazing that it's coming down to metalurgy That'll be Mr Forrest rumbling the fact that my previous best published time at 1/4 mile was on my datalogger while he was mapping (11.16) quite accurate you'd have to agree though. ---john---
wrxmania Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Looks good John - nice to see some development going on in Scotland. Brian []

rabskyline Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Thank you for the kind comments, Rab (been watching your posts, when you learn to Spell subaru come and critisize, Z1000, but then what would you know [:|] ) it's (very) proffessionally made. I'm 'very' pleased with it, second Scottish scooby to do a 10sec 1/4 mile, on the day I fitted it. (not that I'm a fan of drag racing, but most of you seem to be), Fibreglass this one, as I tend to compete and therefore bend things, can be made from carbon though ---john--- wasnt having a dig ! i was expecting something totally radical and unusual ! so keep yer hair on !
bigdavie Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 whit ?? like you have rab ??!! keep yer hair on that is !! sorry couldnae help masell !! especially after the balet dancing elephant !!!
AlanG Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Have you had a chance to draw temp comparisons over what you had to what you have now John? What shift are you on today so i can phone at a convenient time (i missed your call earlier in the week) I've been nightshift this week, so everything topsy turvy at my end and didn't get back to you.
colin_ross Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I've been nightshift this week, so everything topsy turvy at my end and didn't get back to you. So thats means you're surfing the web on the company's time, shame on you. []

He ain't gonna be able to do that. [] Is the bonnet the same as Mikee's, John?
johns Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Looks good to me, especially since it's lightweight and has function over style. Good to see another "local" car in the 10s, and hopefully you'll continue to clean up in the sprints this year! maybe see you at KH on the 19th if you can make it along ? John
thewelsho Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Rab (been watching your posts, when you learn to Spell subaru come and critisize ... subaru, being a proper noun, should be spelled with a capital 'S', thus: Subaru. Oops! [][]
AlanG Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 "So thats means you're surfing the web on the company's time, shame on you." LOL. Guilty, your honour! []
JohnSt Posted August 5, 2006 Author Posted August 5, 2006 I like that Grant, same idea, different implementation. Dave, yes same as Mikee's. Knockhill unlikely John, Kames tomorrow, Fintray next weekend, Brownie points in negative equity [] Rab, sorry, tired and grumpy the other night. ---john---
the squiggle Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 So this style of bonnet is creating a depression behind the slats which is in turn drawing the air throw the intercooler a lot better. Nice one and i think i will take the rest of the day off Might pop down tomorrow to see Stevenson's Rocket in action
z1000 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Hope you realise my comment was in jest. Nice to see someone not following the flock of sheep and daring to be different in the pursuit of power.
