st3ph3n Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 The elephant works nicely for me too. Been insured with them for 4 years now I think. They must like us gingers.
gus the bus Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 .............and baldy heads like me too! Although I'm currently with the Admiral side of the group slightly cheaper quote for the same cover with the same company Thats a pretty good quote with the mods and claim Gumball.

Gumball Posted January 27, 2006 Author Posted January 27, 2006 << Must do discounts for teh gayers. >> whatever teh gayers means andy. If you mean"they must do discount for the gayers then im surprised you didnt get 75% off i heard they have a special package called "3rd party in a row involving goats at the weekend"
andy Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 << i heard they have a special package called "3rd party in a row involving goats at the weekend" >> I'm from Aberdeen FFS. We don't do goats. They have horns. Sheep are far more gentle and accomodating.
WUZ Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Be careful Gumball - Elephant don't usually allow more than 3 mods on a car (especially a power hike of more than 25%) without you having to call their officce during office hours. Please make sure all your mods were listed as thay can invalidate your insurance if they find out. Best to be safer than sorry M8 Russell
bigbadboab Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 They now are quoting me £480 with a few changes to the original quote
4Hero Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 I don't like the site, it's put me off elephant already. Using Firefox, it wouldn't allow me to skip the page for Modifications, I had to enter at least one to go to the next page (Even though I don't have any?). Then, fill in all details, additional drivers, 20 minutes later KAZAAM, I get this: Sorry! We are unable to provide a quote for you because of the following reasons: * We need more information about your car, please call us If you would like to return to your quote details to change an option, please click on the "Back" button below. While we are unable to offer an online quote, we may be able to give you a quote over the telephone. Please call us on 0870 013 1072 Mon - Fri: 8am - 10pm; Sat: 9am - 5pm; Sun: 10am - 4pm. Your client reference number is 26267984. I may stick with Tesco...
gus the bus Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Just checked mine with Efilump and they have quoted me £458 with all the mods I have currently (......and some that are coming soon) so, they are quoting £20 more than their sister company! although that may well change b4 the renewal date
colinj Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Ive been with them before....good prices & they were pleasent to deal with when some tit crashed into me aswell Bit of advice - if you get a good quote of elephant then try Admiral for one as the 2 are connected & sometimes Admiral are a few quid cheaper!!

ed-209 Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 Thanks for the info chris, my insurance with liverpool vic was due in feb they were quoting £890 so I contacted elephant and was amazed with their quote of £430 protected no claims needless to say I phoned them and they confirmed the quote so accepted it there and then. Just for the record I have 75% no claims, but what kills my quotes is my postcode of G69 which covers some really bad areas. So here a BIG THANKS Chris. Ed
