Gumball Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 i LIKE THIS BUT............ I ALSO LIKE THIS
the squiggle Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 First off the Scoob is more of a drivers car with a better weight distribution due to its unique symmetrical AWD system. The EVO is like a conventional FWD with the engine sitting in front of the front axle and requires the proccessing power of NASA to deal with the understeer the chassis would naturally give. This IMHO makes it a very strange car to throw around the back roads in comparison woith the Scoob. I reckon your driving style is more suited to the Scoob than the false world of the EVO Second off you are not really that GAY are you. I know you have a tendancy to sip sherry with Torquill Fiddle-With-John but buying an Evo would be the ultimate in gayness Thirdly, i have a Best Motoring DVD here of the JDM Spec C going up against the new EVO 9 and the Spec C muffed it quite easily esp on the Touge track and the Gymkhana course. Grant
sharon_mccall Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Get a feckin grip Gumball. OBVIOUSLY the scoob in my opinion. EVOs, as Squirrell says, are for "big girls blouses"!!
4Hero Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 no comparison really. The scoob for me too. What are you thinking man
gus the bus Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Is there really any debate here!!!???? EVO's OKish! Scoobies fandabyblinkinbloominfeckinfookinfantastical! THE BEST!
G.T. Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 there is a gay on here someone voted for the evo shame on you scoob for me
sharon_mccall Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 << See no evo hear no evo! Scoob everytime! >> PMSL - nice one
dipsy Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Scoob .There's a 06 jdm sti for sale at dicksons of Dunblane .I got my 05 jdm sti from there. There picture's of it on there website
imprezapete Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 Gumball you mad man! Scooby 9 all the way!!!!
dave_morgan Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 Driving will probably be very similar in reality. Go with whatever one you think looks best, sounds best, and has the best image. I know which one I'd choose, but it's really down to whether you enjoy taking it from behind or not !! No flat 4 rumble from an EVO
p1ggm Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 i say none, my scoob will make way for a skyline gtr next
Johnny50 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 << i say none, my scoob will make way for a skyline gtr next >> ...Waits for Kart_man to start the sales pitch. And on topic...i rekon i'd take the Evo...just for a change.
p1ggm Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 have to say i was out in a standard evo the other week, and is it soo much better than a standard scoob, so i would have one for that, but then theres the servicing etc on evos that is more money but deffo a skyline next for me, i want big big power next thinking r32 gtr for the initial d look but i do have my eye on a 34 atm if i can convince the other half

Grant >> Harsh words big guy!!! Although, your right the 'feel' in the Impreza is better. The Evo does at times, while being astonishing when pushed, feel strange. AYC/ ACD took some getting used to. Computing power...again 'nail on head' Once you learn to trust the car, you tend to let it sort out your mistakes, rather than yourself. A few hairy moments around Knockhill, and all you really need to do is keep the boot in and point it where you wish it to end up. 'Gay'....mmmm, my new manly machine has sorted that part of the equation out. All the best... ...Wee-John
the squiggle Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 No disrespect BIG chap and less of the wee-john bit, i know you are as wee as an off-shore oilrig I chose my words carefully as i could have just said Evo's are sh+t but having driving an Evo around some back roads, EVO 1, 4, 6 and 8, i felt as if the computers were taking over on the bits of road the chassis on the Scoob would have felt more nailed. The higher the Evolution of the Mitsi the more autonomous it feels but i agree, once you learn its routine and you put the faith in the complex electronics, then it can be a very rewarding drive. The Gay remark was in reference to Gumballs recent spate of gayness and i am not implying that Evo's are gay in the slightest, well not to your face i wont {handy thing keyboards and broadband} Fat Grant
G.T. Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 gumballs spate of gayness fpmsl i cant help laughing simple things and simple minds and all that well said squirrel
Gumball Posted December 19, 2005 Author Posted December 19, 2005 aye well said, before the gayness thing gets outa hand im not fecking gay, yes i find it amusing that there are people who are gay though that doesnt mean that i am one of them. so no, its not fecking funny anymore ever hear about the elephant that never forgets? thats going to start happening
Hepy Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 I'd go for the evo. I'm thinking about an evo ix GT. The one without the poofy active yawn control it also has the stronger and better 5 speed box.
johnnyr6 Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 It's a hard one... i like both and no matter what you get you'll love it. I love the sound of the scoob. As for performance, straight line, just as good but the evo seems to have the edge in the twisties. Dunno how that works, as grant says the scoob seems to have the best centre of gravity but in most tests the evo is slightly quicker not that there is much in it. Just ask Bill and Colin. For me,i rekon the evo would be more straight forward to work on aswell, especially if your doing an engine rebuild (don't let playsatan or coulty hear that).
the squiggle Posted December 19, 2005 Posted December 19, 2005 No but i have heard of the elephant that sh*ts in its own bed "like the time at Uni when me and Crispen sneeked a whole bottle of peachshnapps into the ladies dorm and played gin rummie until 11 at night before pretending we were asleep when the year master came round at lights out".....penned from your own hand mate. It is law in Northern Tibet that people called Crispen are automatically Gay and i am afraid you were deemed to be Gay by association. Since you have stopped hanging around with Crispin, drinking peachschnapps in the ladies dorm. The Gay references will now cease. You can take the boy out of public school but you cannot take the public school out of the boy Grant
