there goes charlies bigends
After receiving a quote from Subaru warranty services of £547 for the sixth year warranty on my P1 in april, I have now received another letter from them saying they made a mistake and the correct price is £1233. I have been onto warranties online and have got a quote of £203, although the claim limit is £2500 but it includes complete breakdown cover in the uk including home start and recovery. Rip off by Subaru or what Link to comment
blue boy
Yes Charlie I looked at extending the warranty on my WRX to be honest it has jumped up so much to make it uneconomicle to do it. Whats the web address or online warranty??? Link to comment
AndyC_722
Keep the money mate, £1233 is half the cost of an engine rebuild. Be VERY careful about the small print on 3rd party warranties. I've heard numerous horror stories of claims for rebuilds being rejected because of 'inadequate lubrication' - which is usually b.s. but almost impossible to prove. David @ API Engines had some horrific stories to tell when I called him last year following my own engine failure. My car has a 1 year warranty included from Litchfields, I don't think I'll be extending it. If it blows up, I'll have it converted into a Type 25 Link to comment

Penti
Not sure where you stand if you've received a second letter, but I know of one person who got sent the wrong quote and pushed Subaru on it until they agreed to honour it! Link to comment
