  1. Is this the Chargespeed kit or a one-off? Either way looks the mutts nutts
  2. Personally give API Engines a ring and speak to David. Tell him Jon Stokes sent you. www.apiengines.co.uk
  3. << The lady should be helped first LOL >> So what cars you need Pars
  4. Prob going to aim around August Jimmy dude Be good to see you guys again. Either come over in the Type R or the XKR.
  5. Easy way to check. Look at the bolt holes around where the inlet manifold bolts onto both heads. If they are in a straight line (4 of them) then is is a 1992-1998 engine. If the inner 2 bolts are offset in the middle of the pattern then it is a 99-> Onwards engine.
  6. Sweeeeeeeeeeet Dave dude Good paint that 'un. Wickid innit mate After loads of work the STI8 is nearly complete! Wahooooooooooooo! Looking good. Bumper took an age to trip up to fit the FMIC but i'm well pleased. The STI8 Project DUDE!
  7. Just fitted some to an STI8 today. Brilliant arn't they.
  8. If you can afford it AP 4 or 6 Pots are the daddies. KAD's are also good. Otherwise Godspeed conversion or a good disc and pad setup.
  9. << Dude, I told you not to cut that tiny wire on the ECU....would have saved you two days of putting an engine in and out a million times!! >>
  10. Yeah but Dave can't afford the 100 Bacon Sarnies that you would charge What a session last year dude! Very very very el pistio!! What time does the ferries leave today.....!
  11. Wish I was on the island today El pistio!!!
  12. Dude Sh!t sorry to hear that mate. Call you later. Jon
  13. Cos then it costs you more Especially in stress on the drivetrain. Then turbos, cooling, etc. etc. etc. 2.5 will go in nicely then Bass Junky IMO.
  14. The 2.5 Short Block comes complete with pistons, rods and crank just bolt your heads and ancillaries on £500 upwards approx on labour costs. Don't go mad with a 2.5 just go for a realistic 300/300 power wise. The car will be stonkingly quick anyway.
  15. << Any idea on cost of the 2.5? >> 2.5 Block Complete - £1450 Approx Head Set - £150 Approx Uprated Clutch - £350 Approx ECUTEK Remap - £550 Approx Give or take a few things. That would get you running with expansion later on for intercoolers/turbos etc. etc. Done a few basic 2.5 Conversions on classic WRX's quite happily.
  16. Throw the 2.5 Litre EJ257 short engine in with your existing spec. Put an uprated clutch on and you will have 300bhp/300lb-s torque all day and the car will be extremely quick from low down. The standard STI6 VF29 turbo spools nicely on the 2.5.
  17. << I think thats standard when the cars written off >> What if you were paying monthly then? Would they demand the rest of the yearly payment? Out of interest.
  18. Jim - Scoobynet group buy mate. Looks like a OEM skimmed flywheel with some drilling to lighten it. From API Engines so good stuff Real lightweight ones are a fortune. Just purchased one for a guy the other day.... £450! Plus the VAT! Ouch...... Roger Clark Motorsport though. Dave in Manifold 1 pic where exactly does the Flymo fit into the engine bay then?!?!? DUDE
  19. Appreciated duuuuuuuuuudes Dave looks wickid man!! Innit!! Cheers for the PMs dudes Type R is now stripped of most bits. Clean and time to go back together
  20. Cheers Jimmy mate Fingers crossed
  21. Dude Dave - Don't forget to grease the top o rings before putting back the injectors. Otherwise you get an eye full of fuel.
  22. Also I must add this. I owe a hell of a lot of thanks to Danny Dowsett (DannyD) on here and he justifiably has left CustomScoobies. He has helped resolve some situations that were nothing to do with him. He will be starting a new business soon in Scooby parts and the best of luck to him Please give him your support. Jon.
  23. I think it is time for a reply now. Thanks for pointing this out, just PM'd John Stevenson on Scoobynet to try to resolve this issue. Ade - Me and your solicitor are in contact via post and telephone and sorting. I am trying to get my hands on the funds. << Hmmmm, methinks that he has burnt his bridges within the Scooby community - shame about the damage he has done along the way >> Yes I have unfortunately. It's a shame and I am sorry for all the problems caused here. I will not be staying or trading within the Scooby community once this is all sorted. << hes a right cowboy to put it kindly >> Cheers. << What has happened, he had a good little business there, Is it plain out and out fraud or just too much on his plate? >> Too too much on and took off more than I could handle. Stupid - Yes it was. << Tis a real shame i have to read such bad press on Jon. Justifiably so it would seem. However when i had dealings with him a while back he couldn't have been more helpful. >> Yes it is completely justifiable hence why I have kept quiet before. But I felt this post was justified. Appreciate the kind words at the end Gordon. << im the same m8y when iv rung for advice and parts the guy has moved mountains for me sometimes at a cost to him even if it was only the price of phone calls etc >> Cheers Billy << Wasn't that long ago everyone thought he was the dogs! >> Not quite! But I have had a hell of a lot of successful dealings with people, provided alot of help along the forums along the way, sponsered the SIDC in advertising, donating exhausts and other expensive Scooby accessories parts to the Santa Cruise etc. etc. but this all gets forgotten. I am still around, no I am not trying to do out and out fraud. It wouldn't be hard to track me down. I am trying to get the funds together for anything I owe. My PM box is open, though any abuse or anything else will be deleted. Any problems or people have had problems with parts supplied please PM me. Regards, Jon
  24. £150 for a OEM Replacement item good for 300bhp. No more than £150 to fit IMO. Flywheel depends how old etc. could be skimmed.
