st3ph3n Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 The Cairney Mount road was most enjoyable. Got to say that the Strathaven to Muirkirk road gets 10 thumbs up. Bit far from Aberdeen though.

david_taylor Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Got to be the Dukes Pass between Calendar and Aberfoyle. The jump which you cant see next to loch achray is fun, but a little scary the first time you hit it unexpectedly! I reckon I was at least 2 feet clear...stopped the first time to inspect the car!
Gumball Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 1.The full May/November run route 2. The tunnel of death between Faslane and Arrocher 3. The road between Gleneagles and Dunfermline
Guest greegsy Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 Any road in mid wales when the wrc is on, especially if you are in a scoob - thought my lights were going to fuse flashing at all the other scooby drivers! This road was my favourite between special stage and service park at last years wales rally gb in september-can't actually remember road name. Through the valleys with quite a few rally cars not hanging around - great fun!! Apart from the unmarked police car a pug 406 which chased after the blue evo, who I don't think stopped until he got to the service park at felindre!
james_lindop Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 The best road i've ever driven have to be the B roads in and around the Duns area where the Jim Clark Rally is held, Am sure anyone who has taken there scoob there will agree!!

imprezapete Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Well I cant say I have travelled much of this bonnie land, but from what I have seen I find it hard to find bad roads in the Scottish borders. Some will know some of them from a small get together run I did last year. [] Was one of those runs where the max was reached and I got experince an even scarier car before it was sent packing my its beloved master [:'(]

OOoohhh, thats a good one [] usually do it from Aberfoyle to Calendar on the bike, uphill first gear hairpins just as you exit aberfoyle are ace, you think the bike is going to fall over at the apex then nail it and get the back wheel spinning on the way out [Y] John.
