Best And Worst Moment Of Subaru Ownership

Recommended Posts

Ok so what is the best moment and your worst moment in your Subaru ownership?

For me the worst moment was selling my hawkeye. Although only modestly tweaked it was the business. It saw the Colin McRae memorial run and a few support vehicle runs to crail.

The best moment was experiencing what the car was capable of after andy f worked his magic. I couldn't believe the difference and it put a big smile on my face.

Worst moment: When I'd just bought it and realized that the two front wheels were buckled, the tracking was out, and it was doing 24mpg with me driving carefully. All but the tracking is fixed now.

Best moment: Finding out what 100bhp more and 2WD more than my old car is like in snow :boldblue:

Oh, and washing a real spoiler. :gay: lol

Best moment would be getting my first scooby and the long long drive home...... I think I cracked my face smiling all the way from London :icon_joker:

Worst moment would be selling my Hatch at Christmas [still a sore point], realising there was now way I could get my own scooby for this years fling and having to miss it :( , another scooby related was not fully attending the Mcrae gathering and having my own scooby in the picture, what a waste!

Best moment again ------------ knowing a scooby is not far away now ;)

I would have to say the best part so far is attending the fling and meeting like minded people overall who are happy to help and muck in.

The worst part would be selling my hatch STi due to ill health, however picking up a classic and the prospect of restoring it, all be it minor repairs, is very exciting.

... although my interview for BBC news was a forgettable moment lol.

aw Gus, you did well considering I put you on the spot ;):icon_pai:

The best moments for me would be all the runs and events that I was involved in.

Am surprised how many have said the Gathering is their best part

worse for me is putting the car up for sale :crying:

if anyone fancies a geniuine v2 STi RA for £3k then fire me a goat.

My best part was the day I picked up my classic wagon thinking it was just another turbo 2000 wagon then realising it was a prodrive built special edition on the v5.

Worst part was having to part with it to buy a hawkeye wrx due to my hatred of the volkswagen touareg we had cause she said I cant have 2 subarus lol

Hi imy, good to see you posting but sad to see you are selling the car. Are you moving away completely from Subaru ownership?

Best Bits: Letting my bugeye grow out of it's cuddly skin and show some agression :D Learning how to tune the car myself to deliver more oomph both mechanically and electronically to my own personal specification. The McRae Gathering & Highland Fling Events :icon_salut:

Worst Bits: Hitting a deer... Car coming off a rolling road! :o

worst bit, - wife keeping on nagging me about costs of fixing/running/insurance etc , the car going away for 6 weeks to nobles to get rebuilt a few days after i got her because the idiot before me done some mods incorectly and the dealership paying for it to be fixed

best bits are soooo many but that very first drive home in 2000 on a sunny night with a brand new uk turbo is etched forever in my mind, chasing Higgy in crazy horse through Glen Shee, the Mcrae Gathering and all the Flings ive organised - letting me meet so many fantastic nutters :) Fling highlight is definitely the first Applecross run with Grant and Imy behind me in the Banana

worst bit - without any doubt writing off my first scoob, still makes me want to cry :(

Collecting my first Scoob (my red wagon  ) my daughter said I was to stop cheesing driving it home(I knew nothing about them at the time and hadn't even checked under the bonnet :o )

The McRae Gathering :Scottish-flag: and ALL Scooby runs/flings I've attended over the years (still cheesing btw :D )
